I don’t know! I love the simplicity of [name]Sybil[/name], but I’m really crushing on [name]Sybella[/name] lately, too, and I’m a sucker for [name]Bella[/name] names! I think I’d be more likely to use just [name]Sybil[/name], personally, though. I don’t know! haha.

[name]Sybella[/name] seems to disappear into the sea of [name]Bella[/name] names.

I like the Greek original, and the old-lady chic. Go with [name]Sybil[/name].

I love blade’s description of [name]Sybil[/name] "old lady chic’ that is terrific! And [name]Ash[/name] as I have a gdaughter named [name]Belle[/name] it is hard for me to resist [name]Sybella[/name].

What middle names would make a good fit?

I think something with three syllables and ending with a consonant. [name]Sybil[/name] is two closed syllables with the emphasis on the first; for meter, you want the following word to carry its emphasis at the end.

Examples:

[name]Sybil[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Sybil[/name] [name]Helene[/name]
[name]Sybil[/name] [name]Annalise[/name]
[name]Sybil[/name] [name]Rowena[/name]

I like something natural and short-and-sweet with [name]Sybella[/name] ([name]Sybella[/name] [name]Wren[/name], [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Liv[/name], [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Lark[/name]), but with [name]Sybil[/name], I like something longer and more classic, definitely feminine: [name]Sybil[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] was my first idea. Also [name]Sybil[/name] [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Sybil[/name] [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Sybil[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]…

I can’t really see the name [name]Sybil[/name] without picturing [name]Sally[/name] [name]Field[/name] (probably because the movie disturbed me so much as a child!)

So personally if I were going to use one or the other, I’d choose [name]Sybella[/name] just to get away from the book/movie. I’m not usually big on the -bella name, but [name]Sybella[/name] is unexpectedly very pretty.

[name]Sybil[/name] [name]Irene[/name]
[name]Sybil[/name] [name]Rosemarie[/name]
[name]Sybil[/name] [name]Patrice[/name]

[name]Sybella[/name] [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Sybella[/name] [name]Dove[/name]
[name]Sybella[/name] [name]Joan[/name]

[name]Sybella[/name] [name]Dove[/name] and [name]Sybil[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] are really nice.

[name]Sibylla[/name] is the one that I’m most familiar with, I think it’s the Swedish version.

I actually really like [name]Cybele[/name]!

I prefer [name]Sybella[/name] over [name]Sybil[/name]

Ya’ll are going to hate me for this but… [name]Sybella[/name] makes me think it’s the name of an illness like Rubella, then I think smush name of [name]Sybil[/name] and [name]Ella[/name]. Only third to I see a -bella connection. ([name]Even[/name] then I think feel very neutral about it). I really like the “old lady chic” [name]Sybil[/name] .

My opinion is that [name]Sybella[/name] is ten times better.

If I want to grade this names, and I could marks range is from 1 - 50
[name]Sybil[/name] - 2
[name]Sybella[/name] - 20
[name]Isabella[/name] - 41

[name]Love[/name] your grading system laethey, you must be a teacher!
