Sybella

What do you think of [name]Sybella[/name] as a girls’ name? I’ve been liking both [name]Sibyl[/name] and [name]Sybella[/name] quite a lot lately, but I suspect [name]Sibyl[/name] might still sound very dated to a lot people and that [name]Sybella[/name] may me easier to wear with the [name]Isabella[/name] explosion. What do you think? And any combo ideas? I haven’t thought much about it, but I think that [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is nice, and [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] has crossed my mind as well. Opinions?

I think the name [name]Sybella[/name] is beautiful. It is close to [name]Isabella[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name] and also the beginning of [name]Sylvie[/name]/[name]Sylvia[/name] - all of which are quite popular and well known now. I think it is unique, but is not unfamiliar. [name]Sybella[/name] sounds good with a one syllable name like [name]Rose[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Jane[/name]. I like [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Ruby[/name], but [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is not my favorite (I am not a fan of the name [name]Wren[/name] - whole big thing). But in general I give a check to [name]Sybella[/name].

I’ve never met a [name]Sybella[/name], but I love the closely-related name [name]Sibylla[/name]. It’s a bit less expected than the -bella names, which seem to be everywhere right now. [name]Sibylla[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] is a great combo.

I love [name]Sybella[/name] and [name]Sibyl[/name]! They’re both so lovely. I agree that [name]Sybella[/name] might be easier, and I love your combos! [name]Wren[/name] and [name]Ruby[/name] are such cute mns. I also like the idea of [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Kate[/name] or [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]…

I like this name in theory, but in practicality feel I would be annoyed by people assuming it was [name]Sabella[/name] or [name]Isabella[/name]. I don’t love it, but it certainly is a pleasant name and you have plenty of reason to use it, so by all means consider it strong : D.

I like it a lot actually! I think it’s very pretty. I love your idea of [name]Sybella[/name] [name]Wren[/name].

I prefer [name]Sibyl[/name] personally. I always tend to go for the less frilly names though. I’ve had [name]Sibyl[/name] [name]Annora[/name] on my own list for quite a while now.
