Sybil Araluen?

[name_f]Sybil[/name_f] [name_f]Araluen[/name_f] “Sybbie” is our top contender for a 3rd daughter.

Things I would love to know:

  1. What is it you like or dislike about this name?
  2. Does [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] flow/harmonize/match well with sisters named [name_f]Ivalo[/name_f] and Hesper?
  3. What is the imagery you get from the name [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] and the imagery of [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] combined with [name_f]Araluen[/name_f] (if it gives off a different feeling)?

[name_f]TIA[/name_f]!

[name_m]Ah[/name_m], also, I know this is the girls’ name forum, but I would love to know your thoughts on [name_u]Ash[/name_u] [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] or [name_u]Ash[/name_u] [name_m]Odysseus[/name_m] our front runners for a boy.

I like both names separately. While [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] and Hesper are mythological names, they don’t “go together” in any other way. [name_f]Ivalo[/name_f] also doesn’t “fit.” They all give off different vibes.

I like the classic feel of [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]. What I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t feel as sweet as other classic names, but I still love it.
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f], [name_f]Ivalo[/name_f], and Hesper don’t “match” super well but they make a cute sibset, they flow okay. I don’t think any of them stand out as not fitting with her sisters’ names.
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f], in my mind, ages well. As a child I see her as a smart, organized child who loves patterns. She isn’t the most “creative”, but she is quite imaginative and bases her thoughts on books she has read. (Mostly, she enjoys thanking about the mysteries of various historical events- what could have happened, even though we will never know.) She wears glasses and despises inconsistency, though she always wants to know today’s schedule she is flexible enough. [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] [name_f]Araluen[/name_f] is the girl I just described, but with a few more specific traits. She certainly doesn’t live in the past, but she respects it. She has a knack for Geography, and everyone assumes that she is an incredible [name_m]Math[/name_m] student because of her organized nature. (In reality, she is an above average [name_m]Math[/name_m] student but doesn’t love it.) She reads mainly nonfiction, though strangely enough, she has a secret weakness for folklore.
