I’ve recently fallen a bit in love with the name [name]Sybil[/name]. I find it quite pretty, it reminds me of the character from Downton [name]Abbey[/name], but I’ve sometimes wondered if it was too weird/old-ladyish to be usable. Thoughts?
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Sybil[/name]! I also really like [name]Sybella[/name], too. I’ve been toying around with [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Sybil[/name] lately. I think it’s really sweet but it seems like a lot of people who aren’t Berries don’t really appreciate the name.
Downton [name]Abbey[/name], totally my favorite show on TV even though the awesome season is over, also gave me a name crush on [name]Sybil[/name], though I prefer the original spelling of [name]Sibyl[/name]. I think it’s going to be one of the vintage names that seem to be taking over now seen on plenty of little girls, so I def don’t think it’s just an old lady name. It’s graceful, easy to pronounce, and not in the top 100. Gotta love it!
I guess it’s USEABLE, but I don’t think it’s wearable on a little girl or teenager, in my opinion. I like old lady names, but this one is just too old lady for me. Mainly because all I think of is [name]Sybil[/name] Trelawney from [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] and the creepy movie “[name]Sybil[/name]” about a woman with multiple personalities.
I immediately think of the woman with the multiple personalities so I wouldn’t use it. [name]Sybella[/name] is pretty though.
