Trying to soften sybilla by adding a soft mn. Is pearl too old lady or works well?
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] ties in well with the meaning of our eldest daughters name. We are in the uk & really want to steer clear of ‘filler names’ such as rose or [name_f]Florence[/name_f] which are very common over here
I think it’s very pretty. I can’t speak to whether it feels at all filler in the UK, but I think [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] complements [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] nicely. [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] has kind of a pearly image in my mind.
When I see [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], I automatically want to make it [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. That’s just the Southerner in me though. Personally I would go with something less frilly for [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f]'s middle name. [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Niamh[/name_f], [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Tess[/name_f], [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]… something alone those lines.
Oh, my! [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]! This has got to be one of the best combos I’ve seen on here in a long time. Very, very sweet. Definitely not too old lady!
I agree with southern.maple about the one syllable mn. I do particularly like [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]? [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]? [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]? I like [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] the best, though.
I love it! So sweet! And I agree with some of the other Berries—[name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] is already a pearly, iridescent sort of name, so [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] just completes it nicely.
I really love [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]! I don’t know, I don’t find [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] too old-lady, and I only find [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] old-lady if it’s a middle. I think [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]'s lovely. I like the suggestion of [name_f]Sybilla[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], though!
