Sylvana

Although happy with our boy name option, I‘m still struggling with finding that perfect girl option…

What do you think of [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]) Is it too much with already having two S names in the family (DH is [name_m]Stefan[/name_m], DD1 is [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f])?

Siblings are [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m].

Names on the shortlist at the moment are [name_f]Cressida[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Elfrida[/name_f].

Thanks for opinions.

Personally don’t like siblings with the same initials unless there’s a second pairing or all children have it! I like the name [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] “[name_f]Essy[/name_f]” for your group of cuties, you tend to prefer unique long vintage names, and that fits nice with! I feel [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be better on its own but I can see how underwhelming it might be around the big siblings, other suggestions are the name Elladora, [name_f]Laurena[/name_f], [name_f]Druella[/name_f], or [name_f]Narcissa[/name_f]! I also really like [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] and instead of [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]!

Sylvana is lovely but i love [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] even more

Sylvana is lovely, and I don’t think the repeating initial is a problem. I also love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]!

I like [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] but I think [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] or [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] would fit your crew perfectly!

My best friend is named [name_f]Silvana[/name_f], I much prefer that spelling tbh. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name in general

I know a sylvana! She’s full of energy but super sweet. I think it’s fine to have shared initials.

Love [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], one of my favorite names.

I think with [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] and [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] is very nice and I wouldn’t be worried about the repeated S in this case with two additional siblings plus your name.

But I do very much love [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] “[name_f]Cressie[/name_f]” too!

Sylvana is beautiful, but it doesn’t shine like your oldest children’s names.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] is my favorite. I love it. [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] is feminine, mysterious, elegant, unique and sophisticated. [name_f]My[/name_f] second favorite is [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f]! I don’t think the repeating initial is an issue since the names don’t sound similar. It works wonderfully in your family!

I love [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f], but I also don’t agree with only two siblings having the same first letter. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Vanya[/name_m] instead or [name_f]Vanna[/name_f]? [name_m]Vanya[/name_m] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] has a nice ring to it…maybe.

While I LOVE [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], a “thing” I have is siblings need their own letters. From your list I love [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] “[name_u]Cory[/name_u]” or “[name_f]Della[/name_f]” or “[name_f]Delia[/name_f]” or even the more mainstream “[name_f]Lia[/name_f]” could work as nicknames. I love that you’ve chosen such charming uncommon but not unheard of names for your children.

Thanks everyone. Seems DH doesn’t like [name_f]Sylvana[/name_f] so the longlist stays as before and I’m still no closer to feeling sure with our girl name!
