Sylvia vs Marjorie

I am really crushing on these 2 names lately. I don’t know what middles I like yet. Which of the two do you prefer? If we have a boy I am thinking [name_u]Florian[/name_u] or [name_m]Jack[/name_m].

I love [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]! [name_u]Florian[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] would make a lovely sibset.

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is so pretty & feels majestic to me. I think [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] & [name_u]Florian[/name_u] would be delightful combination and make me very envious!

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is beautiful, and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be a cute nickname too. I don’t personally like [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], it sounds too much like margarine.

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] would be equally nice with a brother called [name_u]Florian[/name_u] or [name_m]Jack[/name_m].

I love [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]. It’s unexpected, easy to pronounce and recognizable.

I love [name_u]Florian[/name_u] with it as they share the same “core” With ori which is a subtle way to honour siblings and tie them together but still be vastly different

I love both of them!

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is much more contemporary and hip. What about [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] for a sleeker sound?

You can’t go wrong with either. I think I slightly prefer [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], I think it’s really underused, but [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is beautiful too! I prefer it to [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], actually.

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] for sure! It’s so lovely and elegant. I think it sounds nice with [name_u]Florian[/name_u] as well as [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. I think it would go with pretty much any middle name as well.

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]!!!

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], for sure. [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] still feels a little too outdated to me.

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband wants to go with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], I think i like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] more though idk

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]!

[name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] is still a bit too old lady for me, although I do love the similar [name_f]Magali[/name_f] ([name_u]French[/name_u]) and [name_f]Marsaili[/name_f] (Scottish).

[name_f]My[/name_f] granny was a [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] who disliked it so much that she went by her middle name instead, so maybe I’m unfairly biased against it.

I like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] with [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_u]Florian[/name_u], and I love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] even more!

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is so sleek and cool

I love both of these names but they have totally different vibes! I can’t say for sure that I prefer one over the other, it really just depends on what you are going for.

[name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] is warm, sweet, earthy, cottage core.

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is sleek, artsy, enchanting, spirited.

You have a similar duality with your masc picks, [name_m]Jack[/name_m] fits the vibe of [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f] well and [name_u]Florian[/name_u] fits with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].

Also, idk if you have a middle picked but I do like the sound of [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]! I love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], but not so much [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] for some reason. I think [name_u]Florian[/name_u] goes better with either choice.
