Sylvie or Vivian...

Which do you prefer? Thanks berries!”

I prefer [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. I adore the nicknames [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] and Vie.

I adore both, but [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] wins. It sounds so elegant.

I love both, but [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is unisex, and I don’t like unisex names. Also, [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] & Vie work as nicknames for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] wins!

I prefer [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

I absolutely love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]! I think [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is stylish and all, but [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is fun, youthful, and energetic.

I prefer [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] by far, i don’t like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

Sylviane is the best of the best of both worlds honestly.

[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]! It is vibrant and spunky and I love the nickname [name_f]Vivi[/name_f].

What a fun suggestion:)

Oh man, that’s a tough one. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] feels softer to me. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] feels, well, more vivacious. lol I think I would go with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] but I love both.

I prefer [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is a nice name and a lot of people here just love it, but it’s something I have difficulty picturing on different personalities, if that makes sense. I think she’s serious, mature, stylish, no nonsense. And there’s nothing wrong with that, a lot of names cause me to envision a type of person. But in a battle between the two, I get more charm and fluidity from [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

I like both but prefer [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. To me [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] has a bigger presence and a elegance about her and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] has a whimsical artistic style

They’re both beautiful, it is near impossible for me to pick. I think I’d go with [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] (spelled [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] for me) in the end because [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] does have [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] Plath vibes… which is fine, she was a great poet, but she also did kill herself. It’s still a lovely name, but [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] doesn’t have that little baggage for me which is why I’d ultimately pick that one.

I like [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] - [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is pretty, but I prefer the more formal [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].

They’re both really pretty, but I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] more. I also think it’s more unique as [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]/[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is getting used a lot these days in my area at least.

I love [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]!

I much prefer [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

I much prefer [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. Unless it’s pronounced the [name_m]French[/name_m] way, [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] with a really strong -enne, I find [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] severe and super masculine.
