Tabitha Nell ( Nell to honour Daniel)

A berry ( I can’t remember the name I’m sorry) suggested [name_f]Nell[/name_f] to honour [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. Is [name_f]Nell[/name_f] a likely name to honour a [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] would you say? I’m loving it.

It’s not a likely name, but I do see the connection! That’s a very sweet combination and honor!

Sorry I think I’ve worded this completely wrong lol. ( I’m trying to multi-task ) if I told people [name_f]Nell[/name_f] was honouring a [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], does it make sense or is it a stretch? Thanks

It’s a little bit of a stretch, but not too much in my opinion! The connection is very clear between Daniel and [name_f]Nell[/name_f] so while I wouldn’t expect it, it does make sense to me.

I think that [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] are similar enough in sound for [name_f]Nell[/name_f] to honor a [name_m]Daniel[/name_m].

Nell makes sense after you learn the connection, but doesn’t make you say “oh, that’s after [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]!”
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is really sweet

Tabitha [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is wonderful! To me, [name_f]Nell[/name_f] to honour a [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is a stretch, but if it has that meaning to you (and to the person being honoured or their family, if applicable) then why not?

I soooo love [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. I’m still a little bit sad that I never got to use it.

Nell for [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is inspired  [name_u]Dell[/name_u] could be another option. I do really love [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f] though

Thanks for all your feedback everyone. My great grandmother was a Helêne. ( French) and Nell would also be a nod to her. As I am aware it can be a name to honour a Helen or Eleanor.
So I feel this name is two fold really!? :slightly_smiling_face: Daniel ( my partner) Daddy’s name. Which I find kinda cute as it’s always the sons named after the dad’s.

I’ll be adding this to our name contenders!

I like [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f] but [name_f]Nell[/name_f] as a honor name to [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] or any of the names seems a BIG stretch!

Nell is a diminutive of [name_f]Helen[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. But it is not the most intuitive honour name for [name_m]Daniel[/name_m].

I don’t think it’s likely, but I think it’s very sweet and could absolutely work. Good combo, too.

It might be a bit of a stretch but I think most people would connect it once you tell them. Also it’s a very pretty combo!

Tabitha [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is sweet, and [name_f]Nell[/name_f] is a great honor nod to [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]. It’s not likely, as @almostactually has said, but I certainly see the connection there. I think I actually like it better than [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] or most of the names immediately thought of as honor names for [name_m]Daniel[/name_m].
