I’ve recently been loving the name [name_u]Taiga[/name_u] (like the forests found on the edge of tundras)
I was wondering what do people think of [name_u]Taiga[/name_u]? And are there any similar names that come to mind?

Ooh I love [name_u]Taiga[/name_u]! [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was the [name_u]Taiga[/name_u] Belt forests as well.
I like [name_u]Taiga[/name_u]. The two immediate names that came to mind are [name_u]Taika[/name_u] and [name_m]Taiki[/name_m]. [name_u]Taika[/name_u] means tiger and is of Maori origin for a boy and it also means magic and is of Finnish origin for a girl. [name_m]Taiki[/name_m] means great, big tree and is of Japanese origin.
Taiga is bold and bright
I like it a lot! Here in the UK, it would be misheard as [name_m]Tiger[/name_m] as the two are (often) pronounced identically, but I like [name_m]Tiger[/name_m] too so that’s not a negative, just an FYI. In the US, I’m sure that wouldn’t be a problem. The only similar names that come to mind for me are other quirky geographical ones, like [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] and [name_f]Delta[/name_f] and [name_m]Esker[/name_m]. I also loooove [name_m]Tarka[/name_m] for either sex, which sounds similar too.
Ooh this is cool! It sounds the same as [name_m]Tiger[/name_m] for me (I’m a [name_u]Brit[/name_u]) but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. For what it’s worth, I also love [name_f]Tundra[/name_f]!
Sounds too much like [name_m]Tiger[/name_m] said in a playful way, like a term of endearment. If [name_f]Honey[/name_f] is out (as many have insisted), then [name_u]Taiga[/name_u] is too.
It’s been on my guilty pleasure list for awhile, I think it’s definitely workable, its a great romantic nature name.
There’s also this post which gives it a 9/10
I like it a lot! [name_u]Taiga[/name_u] is very cool and only one letter off from my well-loved [name_u]Taika[/name_u]
Hmm, I like the sound of it but there is a popular rapper named Tyga.
I am really loving [name_u]Taiga[/name_u]. It’s a nature name, which is a huge bonus imo, and it has a fun sound. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!
Similarly unexpected natural names: [name_u]Drumlin[/name_u], Marram, [name_u]Boreal[/name_u], [name_u]Glade[/name_u], [name_u]Rivulet[/name_u], [name_u]Tarragon[/name_u], [name_u]Yarrow[/name_u]
Taiga is so cool! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the sound!
Those are both great, and [name_u]Taika[/name_u] makes me think of [name_u]Taika[/name_u] Waititi who I adore. [name_m]Taiki[/name_m] has such a nice meaning
I have also been loving [name_u]Prairie[/name_u], and I hadn’t thought of [name_m]Tarka[/name_m] but I love the sound! I wish I could like [name_f]Delta[/name_f] more but I always think of the airline
That post is great, makes me miss being on tumblr all the time lol
I hadn’t heard Marram before, or condidered [name_u]Rivulet[/name_u] or [name_u]Tarragon[/name_u], those all have nice sounds. [name_u]Boreal[/name_u] is my favorite of those, [name_u]Taiga[/name_u] and [name_u]Boreal[/name_u] would be sweet siblings
I was going to say if it’s pronounced like tiger rather than tay-ga then it reminds me of Tyga the rapper
For a similar name I’d say [name_f]Tundra[/name_f].
