Taivie?

A girl I have on facebook has just named her little girl “Taivie [name]Anabel[/name]” pronounced “[name]Tay[/name]-vee”.

WDYT of this name? I’ve never heard it before and my first thought was to share it with nameberry lol! I sort of like it. I like the nickname VeeVee. I don’t think i’d use it myself as it’s not really my style, but find it very interesting. I think it might be a little trendy though? Cutesy even?

I think the combo of Taivie [name]Anabel[/name] works really well though, flow wise and such. [name]How[/name] would you spell Taivie yourselves??

(P.S I realise my daughter also has a trendy and cutesy name and that I may seem like pot-kettle-black … I didn’t choose Maylea’s name and it is not my style. Please don’t think i’m being horrible or anything. I am just curious.)

I agree the rhythm with the middle is good!

I probably would have spelled it [name]Tavie[/name].

It reminds me of [name]Tavia[/name], a derivative of [name]Octavia[/name]/[name]Ottavia[/name] that I like quite a lot. I actually like it better than the originals, and for me that’s unusual.

It also reminds me of [name]Sylvie[/name]. I suppose they’re might be a French name [name]Octavie[/name]?

I do think most names ending in the ee name end up sounding cutesy, although Taivie actually maybe a little less than usual. Trendy…maybe? It’s not quite following the usual trends (that I can think of).

Anyway, all best!

Taivie is not really my thing but I do think it works as a nn for [name]Octavia[/name]! I would spell it [name]Tavie[/name], too. I agree that Taivie [name]Anabel[/name] works well flow-wise!

It is different, NMS. IMHO it sounds like a nn.
But I do like the [name]Anabel[/name] part.
