Taking votes from like minded name snobs like me!

I am determined to settle on a name for our third child, a boy within the next few weeks. Without getting into the nitty gritty (because I could go ON and on) here are the current frontrunners for our baby boy #3 due in [name_u]January[/name_u]. A few notes to help with your vote:

-Our last name is one syllable, starts with D, and is also the name of a bird.
-My daughters name - [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Aoife[/name_f] [name_u]Rose[/name_u] (she has 2 middle names)
-My sons name - [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_m]Boone[/name_m] (he will be closer in age to baby #3 than his sister who is 5 years older)

Our top contenders in no particular order:

[name_m]Rhone[/name_m] Wyeth
[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m]
[name_m]Rhone[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]
[name_m]Oskar[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m]
[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Holt[/name_m]
[name_m]Rhone[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] [name_m]Holt[/name_m]

I am ALSO fully open to new suggestions. We clearly like unique names, with a European flair or a nod to a nature element without being too hard to spell or pronounce.

Some others that we were heavily considering:

[name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Archibald[/name_m], [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m], [name_m]Orren[/name_m], [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], [name_u]Rome[/name_u], [name_m]Croix[/name_m], [name_m]Truett[/name_m], [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], [name_m]Leif[/name_m], [name_u]Scotland[/name_u], Tormey, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_u]Beckett[/name_u]

I’m so excited to see what you berries vote for!!! Thank you for taking the time!!

I’d go with [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m]. It flows well, complements your other children’s names, and maintains a unique and nature-inspired theme without being overly complicated.

This is my first time of hearing about [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] (I checked and it’s the name of a river, we have a different word for it in my language) and I am so intrigued!! I love [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] with your other kids! I also think [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] would be a good fit but I personally wouldn’t choose it because it shares two letters with [name_u]Atlas[/name_u]. I love [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] but to me [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] is the best fit, has the nature-y, fantastical vibes of [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_u]Atlas[/name_u], respectively. From the names you considered, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] would also make a wonderful brother name!

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m], or [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] / [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] for sure!

I’d go with Oskar Rhone. Then all your kids would have first names that start with different vowels and Oskar is just super cute.

[name_m]Rhone[/name_m] Wyeth is my vote! Middle names don’t matter too much to me (I care more about honoring a family member than how it “flows”), but I really like [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] as a first name, especially with your sibset!

[name_m]Rhone[/name_m] Wyeth is very arty and cool and I like how it has a distinctive sound to your other kids! [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] is nice too and [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Holt[/name_m] is sparky and gentle at the same time.

I think [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Holt[/name_m] is my favourite!

Of your others, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Truett[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Orren[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] and [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] are nice too!

If I was able to mix and match:

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] Wyeth [name_m]Rhone[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] Wyeth
[name_m]Truett[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Beckett[/name_u] [name_m]Ansel[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m]
[name_m]Orren[/name_m] Wyeth
[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Oskar[/name_m]

For a couple of suggestions: [name_m]Wystan[/name_m], [name_u]Leander[/name_u], [name_m]Orson[/name_m], [name_m]Sylvan[/name_m], [name_u]Orion[/name_u], [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], [name_m]Forrest[/name_m], [name_m]Caelum[/name_m]

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] is the one I’d choose! Sturdy, strong, and just as exciting as your older two.

I really like [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] from your list! I think that has a nice flow to it and is different without being too out there. [name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m], [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], and [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] all caught my eye on your other list. They all feel very literary to me which I like.

Definitely [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] from your list. Suggest [name_m]Inigo[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] or [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] best - I like everyone to have their own letters especially where it’s back to back children (Atlas and [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] being right next to each other). I like Wyeth but [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] has better flow to your last name imo.

I otherwise like [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] or [name_u]Beckett[/name_u]. Again, great names in and of themselves, goes with your last name, and the thematically complements the other two without being too close.

[name_m]Rhone[/name_m] Wyeth or [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] [name_u]Arthur[/name_u]! I like Wyeth better than [name_u]Arthur[/name_u], but [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] flows better to your surname. [name_m]Rhone[/name_m] D___ is a little choppy to my ear, but if you aren’t stressing over that I wouldn’t let it bother you too much.

I like [name_m]Ansel[/name_m], but personally, [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] are a little close for back-to-back brothers. [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] fits well in the set and flows well with your surname, it just isn’t my favorite of your options.

[name_m]Orren[/name_m], [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], [name_m]Leif[/name_m], and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] are my faves from your longlist. I also kinda love that you were considering Archibald–such an old, bold name!

Suggesting Brannoc (Welsh, means raven–too much bird though?), [name_m]Seamus[/name_m], Tor/Torrin, [name_m]Wystan[/name_m], [name_m]Llyr[/name_m], [name_m]Wayland[/name_m], [name_m]Hamish[/name_m].

I love [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] [name_m]Rhone[/name_m]!

I’ll suggest [name_m]Viggo[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
