This one is on my radar lately (again) and DH mentioned before that he liked it. That’s pretty much all I need to put it on our list. However, I cannot for the life of me think of a middle name to pair with it! DH prefers names that are “old school” (like [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]), as he calls them. I’m torn on what I’d prefer for a middle name for this though. Our surname is pretty…well…bland. It’s sort of like [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] in sound. I think it would be odd to see a [name_f]Serafina[/name_f]/[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] [name_m]Tucker[/name_m], or something along those lines…if you catch my drift. I was thinking about a familiar name like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]…
Any suggestions? Sorry, I know this is all over the place and probably hard to respond to! I’m running on very little sleep lol.
I think this is a case where a solid, traditional middle name works perfectly. [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is a great combination, it helps keep the more ethereal [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] grounded. [name_f]Lenore[/name_f], as a variation of [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], might also work nicely.
I’ve fallen in love with [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] recently. I really like [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] but I that may be too [name_m]Ben[/name_m] and [name_f]Jen[/name_f] Affleck. I also like [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
Well, my [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] is 9.5 now so I love this name too! She goes by [name_u]Fee[/name_u] or Phina most of the time but I think this is such a gorgeous name. My [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]'s middle name is Loucee after a family friend. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]? I think a slightly more unusual first name often brightens up a plainer last name, and as far as I’m concerned anything goes in the middle.
I like [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] too… sorry I’m struggling to think of anything else as for me the default combo is [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] Loucee!
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] is a beautiful name! I think it would pair well with short but spunky middle names. Here’s my list:
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Blanche[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_m]How[/name_m] do those sound? [name_f]Hope[/name_f] they’re okay!
Sorry for just now getting back to this! I’ve been really busy…
@lwj1986: I agree about [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and I think that’s why we’d like to choose a more “grounded” middle name. [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] sounds great with [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]! I’ll have to run that by DH… thanks!
@legallybrunette: [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is lovely! I wish I could use it. I come from a family of movie/celebrity buffs who I swear know every detail about celebrities and their families, so I know someone would notice it. Sigh…
@blessedwithnearly9: [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] Loucee/[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is adorable! I love that combo and the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] in general. However, I used the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] for my beloved dog…I had to get rid of her due to a very bad situation a couple years ago and it’s still a sore spot for me
@~teenberry~: I love your suggestions especially [name_f]Blanche[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is one of my favorite names, but DH doesn’t like it as a first…so maybe I can get it to fly as a middle name thanks!
@bellaczh: thanks for the feedback @mimmimus: awe, that’s such a beautiful combo!
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are all wonderful options as well:)
@emmamay: I’m still torn on the spelling. I guess I prefer [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] a bit more than [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] too…I was trying to go with the more-Italian spelling. However, I don’t think it matters as much as I was thinking lol. I really like your suggestions! [name_f]Joy[/name_f] sounds especially sweet, as does [name_f]Belle[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a toss up because we were considering [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] in another combo, but maybe that could work here…we really like [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]!!! I just texted that to DH and I hope he will approve! That is such a beautiful combo! Thanks!
Thank you, [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] those are all great suggestions! I really like how [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] sounds with it!
Well, guys, I got my answer from DH: he loves [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]! This may just be our new top name on the girl side thanks for all your help!
