As a middle name option to honor my father [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], do you have a preference? I might be leaning toward [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] because it’s more subtle, but I want to know what you think. Thanks!
*[name_f]Edit[/name_f] Grrr! this was supposed to have a poll, too. Sorry it didn’t work. Please responds anyway! hahaha.
I really wanted DH to go for [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f], but could not budge him. So I will cheer it on over [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f] because I would love to see someone use it!!!
I like both [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] and [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f] (not [name_f]Thomasine[/name_f]), but [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f] would probably get my vote. You can’t go wrong with either!
The DH and I both have b.a.'s in English, and I have been told before on Nameberry that my name choices have an English feel, so perhaps [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] IS the way to go… If anyone else has images to offer, I would love to hear it!
I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f]/[name_f]Thomasin[/name_f]/[name_f]Thomasine[/name_f] much better.
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] is on my list but I actually prefer [name_f]Thomasin[/name_f] (DH wouldn’t allow it but is contemplating [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]). [name_m]Both[/name_m] are lovely. As a mn it may depend in your fn choice as to which actually sounds best.
Good luck
I love [name_f]Thomasin[/name_f] (see sig!), partially because of Return of the Native. I prefer [name_f]Thomasine[/name_f] of your two choices, but [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] is still very nice.
I don’t care for [name_f]Tammy[/name_f] as a nickname, which is a drawback of [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] for me because after a certain age nicknames are out of the parents’ hands. Still, [name_m]Tam[/name_m] and Tamsy are nice if she (or you) wants a short form.
I prefer [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]. [name_f]Thomasine[/name_f] looks like you are trying too hard to feminize [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], while [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] is more subtle and much prettier [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I like them both (with a slight bent toward [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f], because [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f], and by extension, [name_f]Thomasine[/name_f], feel like cats names to me because of “The Three Lives of [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f]”). Regardless, I think either [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] or [name_f]Thomasine[/name_f] could pull off [name_m]Tomi[/name_m] as a nickname.
