Any thoughts on [name]Tamsin[/name]? I’m really in love with it at the moment. My only reservation is that it ends in the word sin, do you think that is bad roam I just over thinking it? what do you picture a [name]Tamsin[/name] looking like? Does it go well with my other names? As far as a combo I’m thinking [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Veronica[/name] but nothing is set.
I quite like it. I [name]LOVE[/name] long form [name]Thomasina[/name], but I think [name]Tamsin[/name] is fine on its own. I really don’t think there’s anything to worry about with the “sin” ending- [name]Emerson[/name], [name]Madison[/name], [name]Jason[/name], etc. all have the sin sound with a different spelling, so it doesn’t seem odd at all. I love [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Veronica[/name]. I think [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Amalia[/name], [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Colette[/name], and [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Elena[/name] all sound great too.
“Sin” is not an issue.
I like [name]Tamsin[/name]. The name seems cool and intelligent, somewhat tomboyish imo.
Very cute name! I picture a spunky girly, tomboyish, but gorgeous.
I don’t like it. But I don’t hate it either. Like PP I adore [name]Thomasina[/name] and [name]Thomasin[/name]
I dont think the “sin” ending is an issue, but if you feel it is why not go for Tasman? it’s similar sounding and just as beautiful
I actually know a [name]Tamsin[/name] who’s probably in her 40’s.
I didn’t even know it was a name before I met her.
Honestly, it’s not at all attractive to me. Like [name]Tammy[/name] meets [name]Kristen[/name] (neither of which are names I like).
It reminds me of Tamlin, the hero of a Celtic faery story. [name]Tamsin[/name] is rather pretty, I think.
I adore [name]Tamsin[/name]!
I really like [name]Tamsin[/name]- my only reservation is the possible nn [name]Tammy[/name].
[name]Tamsin[/name] has grown on me, I think it’s spunky but still kinda girly. Though I really dislike the nn [name]Tammy[/name]
[name]Tamsin[/name] is a great name!! underused and adorable! I like your combo of [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Veronica[/name], it flows well.
I like [name]Tamsin[/name] a lot. I think it’s elegant yet spunky.
[name]Tammy[/name] isn’t going to be a nickname unless you want it to be. Goodness, it’s the same amount of syllables as [name]Tamsin[/name].
I agree with all the [name]Tamsin[/name]-love-- unexpected, cool, not too girly but still feminine. [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Veronica[/name] is a great combination too.
Toying with this name too. Also dislike [name]Tammy[/name] as an nn, but was thinking Zin, or Zinny could be potential nn alternatives?
[name]Love[/name] it. [name]Tamsin[/name] is truly an undiscovered gem.
I love [name]Tamsin[/name] and have for many, many years. It’s fairly different from most of my other favorites, but there’s something so endearingly quirky about it that I adore.
I’m absolutely in love with the name [name]Tamsin[/name]. I don’t think the ending is a problem at all…but if it is concerning to you, I have good news: there is a legit variant spelling! Tamsen. This is actually the way it was spelled when I heard the name for the very first time, the name of a woman in the 19th century. Either spelling, I adore the name. [name]Even[/name] if you don’t like the nn [name]Tammy[/name], I wouldn’t worry - it’s a two-syllable name that’s easy to pronounce. Doesn’t need a nickname.
I’ve been crushing on this name all day (no clue why -never really thought of it before…) so it was a sweet surprise to see this thread. My biggest reservation is, like a lot of you others, the possible nn [name]Tammy[/name]. Otherwise though I’m loving [name]Tamsin[/name] -it’s cute and familiar enough without being popular. Also like pp’s idea of Zin as a nickname.
I like it a lot.
I don’t mind [name]Tammy[/name] though.
I also don’t mind [name]Tommy[/name] on a girl as a NN though it probably works best with [name]Thomasin[/name] (which I love).
My favourite [name]Tam[/name]- name though, is [name]Tamar[/name], pr. ta-[name]MAR[/name].
