Thoughts on [name]Tansy[/name]? I’m revisiting it. Does it have a bit of a bimbo-y vibe? Usable?
I think if [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Lily[/name] are being used, then why not [name]Tansy[/name]. I think its adorable.
[name]One[/name] of my absolute favorites! I think it’s an underused flower name (which are hard to come by now-a-days) and is just adorable.
I really like it and I don’t think I have heard of it before.
[name]Tansy[/name] is probably my favorite T name. I don’t get a bimbo-y vibe at all, more of a sweet bookish vibe actually…
I love [name]Tansy[/name]! Its my favorite flower name behind [name]Rose[/name]. I find it spunky, cute, and lively all it one. It’s definitely an underused name and the teasing potential is very low.
I like it. I like [name]Thandie[/name] more. But I like it
I dislike it by association, I just think of this REALLY annoying [name]Tansy[/name] I knew when I was a kid. I don’t feel like it’s a name that grows with the child either, too childish sounding for me, sorry!
Totally not bimbo-y. I think it’s a way smarter sounding flower name than [name]Lily[/name]/[name]Daisy[/name]/[name]Posey[/name] etc that seem to be getting so popular. My only hesitation is that it’s an invasive species in my province and considered a noxious weed. I’m guessing that’s not the case elsewhere though.
I like it–in fact, I’m considering adding it to my list. I liked it already, but I recently rediscovered it in “The Teacher’s Funeral,” a young adult novel by [name]Richard[/name] Peck. He’s a very funny yet touching author, and [name]Tansy[/name] is a strong 17-year-old character in the book. It made me remember I like the name.
Edited for privacy.
I can’t take it seriously.
- It’s the name of a ditzy character on this child’s tv network here. I grew up with that image, so it’s ingrained in me now.
- The sound is just annoying as well, imo.
I like it for a little girl, but I can’t picture an adult named [name]Tansy[/name]
I dont think it would age well. Its also sounds a bit bimbo - ish to me, sorry.
I made up my mind and added it to my list–we’ll see how long it stays. I think [name]Tansy[/name] [name]Araminta[/name], my new combo, is pretty.
I think it’s a bit nickname-y or young sounding. I can’t picture a 40 year old business woman named [name]Tansy[/name]. I can, however, picture said woman named [name]Tamsin[/name] who goes by [name]Tansy[/name] to her friends.
I like it, but I didn’t know it was a flower name, and I think I’m a person who knows a lot of flowers. If you want it, but feel it wont age well, have you considered [name]Constance[/name], nn [name]Tansy[/name]. I think [name]Constance[/name] is stunning, but don’t like the nick name [name]Connie[/name].
I’m in love with all sorts of flower names right now. [name]Tansy[/name], [name]Orchid[/name], [name]Begonia[/name], [name]Gardenia[/name], [name]Lavender[/name], [name]Iris[/name], [name]Daisy[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Flora[/name], [name]Pansy[/name], [name]Azalea[/name], [name]Poppy[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name], [name]Zinnia[/name], [name]Acacia[/name], [name]Heather[/name], [name]Aster[/name], [name]Marigold[/name], [name]Jonquil[/name], [name]Magnolia[/name], [name]Linnea[/name], [name]Saffron[/name], and [name]Wisteria[/name] are all beautiful and totally underused.
Definitely consider [name]Tansy[/name], I’d [name]LOVE[/name] to meet a baby [name]Tansy[/name].
[name]EDIT[/name]:
I like the previous poster’s suggestion of [name]Constance[/name] nn [name]Tansy[/name], I adore both [name]Constance[/name] and [name]Tansy[/name]! Plus, it would get rid of the child-like factor.
I think it is pretty, not bimboish. I wasn’t aware it was a flower name either. But I agree it is diffcult to picture a grown woman with this name. I think of [name]Tancy[/name] from Big [name]Love[/name] who was a very bright little girl.
