My favorite is [name_f]Taryn[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Taryn[/name_f] more.

[name_f]Taryn[/name_f] fan here.

I prefer [name_f]Kassandra[/name_f]. I’m not a big fan of the ‘K’ spelling though. It takes away some of the beauty of [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] in my opinion.

[name_f]Kassandra[/name_f] is the original spelling; it’s Greek. I think the C spelling takes away the strength & history of this name

I prefer [name_f]Kassandra[/name_f] myself. I find [name_f]Taryn[/name_f] rather trendy, but also dated, if that makes any sense at all. [name_f]Kassandra[/name_f] ([name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]) is dated too though really… I just prefer the sound and look of [name_f]Kassandra[/name_f], really.

I picked [name_f]Kassandra[/name_f] but I highly prefer it with a C!

My name is [name_f]Taryn[/name_f], but I prefer [name_f]Kassandra[/name_f]. I like my name, but it does cause confusion. People always think I am saying [name_f]Karen[/name_f] or [name_u]Terry[/name_u] or [name_f]Tara[/name_f]. And people who see it written often mispronounce it, even though it neither difficult nor rare. And then no one can spell it. These might be issues you would have with any name, I don’t know.

For most of my life, people reacted as if this name was very strange, even though I was born in 1979, which was probably the height of its use. But in the past few years, reactions have been a lot better. I have heard about many new babies named [name_f]Taryn[/name_f]. I will say, [name_m]Hi[/name_m], its nice to meet you, my name is [name_f]Taryn[/name_f]. And often people will say, “Oh! My sister just named her baby that!” So sunniva’s assessment of “trendy yet dated” might be spot on.

I also like that [name_f]Kassandra[/name_f] is potentially nicknamable, which [name_f]Taryn[/name_f] is not.

I prefer [name_f]Taryn[/name_f]

I’m aware of that. It’s a matter of personal opinion. I’m just not a fan of K spellings in general. With the exception of Katarina I lean towards the C spelling because they look more classically beautiful to me. I guess it’s because nowadays people use the whole swap a letter to make it look unique and now it comes off as tryndy. Just a warning that most people if they aren’t really into their Greek background or name nerds might see it as trydny. If you’re leaning to honor the history of the name I’m all for it.

I prefer the [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] spelling.

I voted for [name_f]Taryn[/name_f], but only because I really can’t stand K names. Otherwise, I would have voted for [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f].
