Tatum/Tate

What do you think of this name?

[name]Do[/name] you consider it more of a boy’s or girl’s name?

I’m having a boy and considering putting this on my long list.

I like the name [name]Tate[/name], and because I’ve only known boys with the name, it’s a boys’ name to me. I think it’s very handsome, and I can especially see it as a middle name.

[name]Tatum[/name], on the other hand, is 100% girl to me, due to [name]Tatum[/name] O’[name]Neal[/name].

Good luck!

I’m Norwegian so I don’t have any of the personal connections to make [name]Tatum[/name]/[name]Tate[/name] swing one way or the other, so no strings attached they both sound male in my opinion… I had too look twice the first time I saw [name]Tatum[/name] used for a girl, I couldn’t believe it! I don’t like [name]Harper[/name] or [name]Piper[/name] for girls either, if that makes a difference… They all sound masculine to me…

[name]Love[/name] the name [name]Tate[/name] and I have seen boys named [name]Tatum[/name] too (I go through birth announcements to put on my blog), but I prefer [name]Tate[/name].

Good luck!

[name]Tatum[/name] would be great for a boy! It’s short and makes a statement. You could always call him [name]Tate[/name] for short.

I really hope that people are not naming their sons [name]Tatum[/name] – I’d like to see one of those birth announcements. [name]Tate[/name] is the boys’ name, [name]Tatum[/name] the girls’, relating to the blog I wrote the other day on male-female versions of similar names.
