Tayren

My boyfriend suggested Tayren today. We aren’t actually naming a child, he’s just going along with my naming thing. But it was a quick text just kind of playing a game with me so I didn’t actually hear him say it. I think he’s pronouncing it [name]Tarren[/name] but I’m not sure…either way, do you like it?

No. It sounds like [name]Terran[/name] with a twangy accent.

I don’t like it in the slightest. I’d rather see [name]Taylor[/name] (which I’m also not a fan of) than Tayren.

I agree, not a fan, sorry. It seems like a complicated spelling of [name]Taryn[/name] (which already seems a bit complicated to me–is there another spelling?), and I feel like I should emphasize the “AY” sound more than I naturally would for [name]Taryn[/name]–more like [name]TAY[/name]-ren instead of TARE-en, if that makes sense. Subtle difference, but TARE-en sounds a lot more natural to me. It’s not really my thing, sorry–I much prefer a lot of the names in your signature to Tayren. :frowning:

It looks made up. It has a harsh sound and feels awfully masculine.

I’m not a fan, I’m afraid. [name]How[/name] about [name]Tara[/name], or [name]Taryn[/name], as alternatives?

I prefer [name]Taryn[/name] or [name]Tarryn[/name].

Not a fan for a girl, I know to boys with the name Tayren so to me it is way to masculine :frowning: Prefer [name]Taryn[/name] or [name]Tara[/name]
