Tehani?

(I posted this in the baby names forum, but thought I’d post it here too)

What do you think of the name Tehani for a little girl?

Here’s what I know about the name:
It’s of Tahitian origin, means “the sweet caress of flowers” or “loved one,” and can be pronounced as either tay-ha-nee or teh-ha-nee.

I personally prefer and would use the teh-ha-nee pronunciation.

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would age well?
Does it fit in a [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand European + Polynesian family? …as a [hypothetical] sister to [name_f]Siena[/name_f]?
Any middle name suggestions?

Thanks

I had never heard this name before, but it seems like a little Tehani would fit nicely into your family! And I think it would age just fine. I have a cousin named Peili, and that was a major critique from other relatives about her Name, but it hasn’t seemed an issue at all as she’s grown older.

Thank you

Anyone else?

Definitely fits into your family. Reminds me of [name_f]Leilani[/name_f], [name_f]Meilani[/name_f] and Kehlani (from the rapper), all names I think are beyond beautiful.
