Hiya!

First, if there is a thread about this or similar, please let me know and I will close this one. I searched and didn’t see one for it, unless I was using the wrong keywords.

For some television programs babies are being introduced and I am curious as to what names they will decide on or what you sort of hope they would name the child.

For those who are not caught up…Possible SPOILER ALERT (For Grey’s Anatomy…not sure if others will post about other television shows).

For now, I am mostly talking about [name]Grey[/name]'s Anatomy new baby that will be born to Dr. [name]Derek[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name] and Dr. [name]Meredith[/name] [name]Grey[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name]. They already have an adopted-daughter named, [name]Zola[/name] (Unsure if she has a middle name or not).

Anyway, I was thinking about possible names, but I could be completely wrong since they can be so obvious…so may be others will want to join me in guessing?

Here’s what I was thinking…

After the incident with [name]Meredith[/name]'s sister, [name]Alexandra[/name] “[name]Lexie[/name]” [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Derek[/name]'s best friend [name]Mark[/name] [name]Everett[/name] [name]Sloan[/name], I wondered if they would honor them some home. [name]Even[/name] the possibility of using Mere’s mother, [name]Ellis[/name] and [name]Derek[/name]'s father, [name]Christopher[/name].Maybe [name]Grey[/name] will be a middle name?

From these names, they could possibly lead to…

[name]Ellis[/name]: [name]Elliott[/name]/[name]Eliot[/name], [name]Elijah[/name], [name]Eli[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name]: [name]Christian[/name]? (but that may be a bit religious for some? or too similar to [name]Christina[/name], and [name]Christine[/name], from Bones.)
[name]Alexandra[/name]: [name]Alexander[/name], but then I remembered [name]Alex[/name] Karev. [name]Xander[/name], but feels kinda, well…
[name]Mark[/name]: [name]Marcus[/name], but then I thought it may be too dated.
[name]Everett[/name]: [name]Emmett[/name], [name]Rhett[/name], [name]Everest[/name],
[name]Sloan[/name]: Middle name. Also, both of [name]Mark[/name]'s daughters, has [name]Sloan[/name] as part of their name.
[name]Grey[/name]: [name]Greyson[/name], if not a middle name.

Other names:

[name]Wyatt[/name] (too Charmed?)

Now that I am typing them for others to see, these names seem kinda lame for the show.
Your suggestions, please.

I don’t know about them honouring [name]Lexie[/name] and [name]Mark[/name], because [name]Jackson[/name] just renamed the hospital after them and I’m not sure the producers would go for something so repetitive… I can definitely see [name]Grey[/name] as a middle name, unless they double-barrell {I’m pretty sure [name]Zola[/name] is [name]Zola[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name]-[name]Grey[/name] or [name]Grey[/name]-[name]Shepherd[/name]}.

To be honest, though, it wouldn’t surprise me if they went for something completely random haha.

I also don’t know about honoring because the hospital was renamed after [name]Lexi[/name] and [name]Mark[/name]. I like the idea of [name]Elliot[/name] after [name]Meredith[/name]'s mother, [name]Ellis[/name]. [name]Elliot[/name] [name]Grey[/name] [name]Shepard[/name] is quite dashing. I do think they’ll do something different. [name]Felix[/name] was the first name that popped in my head for them.

Oh goodness, I forgot about the renaming of the hospital that quick. You guys are right, but at the same thing I was thinking more of something from their first name. Isn’t the hospital focusing on their last name? But you two did bring up a good point.

I like [name]Felix[/name], I think it could work.

[name]Zola[/name]'s full name is, [name]Zola[/name] [name]Grey[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name]. So [name]Grey[/name] could be her middle name or a joint of double-barrel middle name. Maybe some other watcher will know for sure. Either way, [name]Grey[/name], might also be counted out.

They went a little popular with [name]Sofia[/name] and a little under the radar with [name]Tucker[/name]. So from those names, I am really clueless of where they might go with the name.

Heh, I’m not the only one curious about what they’ll pick!

My first thought, too, was after [name]Mark[/name] and [name]Lexie[/name]: [name]Mark[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]. But then I remembered [name]Alex[/name], so I’m not so sure they would go with [name]Alexander[/name]. [name]Christopher[/name] would be a good choice, for [name]Derek[/name]'s dad and [name]Meredith[/name]'s BFF [name]Cristina[/name]. I don’t think [name]Meredith[/name] would name the baby after her mother, though. She and [name]Ellis[/name] didn’t have the best relationship.

Uhm… I didn’t know it was a boy. Thanks for that. Maybe stick '[name]Grey[/name]‘s Spoilers’ in the title next time??

Not really a spoiler unless you are two to three weeks behind since they talked about it in a sonogram the other day.

I agree with the honoring. I don’t see [name]Mark[/name], [name]Thatcher[/name], [name]Ellis[/name], [name]Lexie[/name] or [name]Weber[/name] being honored. Also [name]Bailey[/name] honored [name]George[/name] with little [name]Tucker[/name] so I don’t know if they would do a repeat.
[name]Christopher[/name] could be great. I could see [name]Meredith[/name] not telling [name]Derek[/name] and just choosing the name and surprising him with it.
The producers do seem to be a bit sentimental that way.

Firstly. I’m in [name]England[/name]. Your networks are not generally as generous as ours are with sharing tv programmes e.g [name]Doctor[/name] Who so we’re usually a little bit behind anyway.

Secondly. My parents have been away in [name]Hawaii[/name] for the past month so I waited for them to get back before we caught up on all our tv shows. There are a lot of programmes to watch, ‘Greys’ is just one of a long list.

So yes, it’s still a spoiler and the title should be worded as such.
