Title says it all. [name]Mazarine[/name] has caught my eye and I’d like to know more about the name. What are [name]Mazarine[/name]'s origins? What does the name mean? What significance does the name have? Whatever you can tell me is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
[name]Mazarine[/name] is a colour, a very deep shade of blue. It was named after the Duchess of [name]Mazarine[/name] in the end of the 17th century. the name [name]Mazarine[/name] means mace-bearer.
it’s not given as a name in [name]France[/name] very often at all (agent99 will have the statistics; according to meilleursprenoms less than 500 people in all of [name]France[/name] have the name).
I personally think it sounds and looks like a cross between margarine and magazine.
The name comes from the Cardinal Mazarin. He was taught by the very well known Cardinal Richelieu and was a part of [name]Louis[/name] XIV’s court. His sisters came from [name]Italy[/name] to live in the palace and were called the Mazarinettes (lovely). He was around during an amazing time in French history.
Also, I believe the first Bible printed on the Gutenberg press was the Mazarin Bible.
All and all, perhaps a book lover/history buff’s kinda name.
There was a French leader in recent history who named his daughter [name]Mazarine[/name] (coincidentally, she became an author).
[name]Mazarine[/name] comes with the great nn Mazzy. Clearly, I may be a bit partial for the name.
