[name]Isobel[/name]… NB has it ranked very very low but I am not sure how accurate that is. I like this spelling/variation better then [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Isabelle[/name].

I prefer this spelling also. I only know of 1 [name]Isobel[/name] [spelt like this] but I’m in the land of rain [[name]England[/name]] so I don’t know about the USA.
I really love this spelling, but I still think it’s too popular. Because nobody will know the difference when you say it aloud, even if it’s a thousand times prettier (and legit!) spelled [name]Isobel[/name]. But it is a beautiful name : )
I would look more at the combined popularity of [name]Isabelle[/name] and [name]Isabel[/name]. For the record, I think [name]Isabel[/name]/[name]Isobel[/name] are much lovelier than the more-popular [name]Isabella[/name]. [name]Isobel[/name] is my favorite spelling- I believe it’s Scottish?
I agree. I think the look sets it apart but the sound it what keeps it popular since [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Isabel[/name] and [name]Isabella[/name] are super popular. And I definitely do not want my child having a popular name. NB always throws me off with that.

Since you live in [name]America[/name], I think you’ll be fine with this spelling. You may have to spell it a lot though.

That particular spelling may not be as popular, but the name itself is very popular.
Agreed. When people hear [name]Isobel[/name], I think they’ll still think [name]Isabel[/name] or [name]Isabelle[/name], or even [name]Isabella[/name]. [name]Isabelle[/name] is my top choice for a girl, but a lot of people still assume it’s [name]Isabella[/name], since it’s so much more popular.
