These are my top ten names right now. I also posted these in the top 10 girls and boys names, but I would like some constructive criticism so decided to take it to a separate thread.
I appreciate your opinions! [name]Rosalind[/name] [name]Claire[/name] is very lovely, and in the [name]Felix[/name] combo I think [name]Nathaniel[/name] balances it out nicely.
I agree with your comment that [name]Clara[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] is quite cartoonish. If I was actually naming a baby [name]Clara[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] (I am only 17, so wouldn’t be for aages) I would balance it out. So, for example, [name]Clara[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] or [name]Clara[/name] [name]Anne[/name] [name]Margaret[/name].
As for [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] - who is [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Arnold[/name]? Forgive my ignorance, I live in New Zealand.
An actual [name]Benedict[/name] combo would probably be something like [name]Benedict[/name] [name]William[/name] [name]Oliver[/name].
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] - Prefer the [name]Catherine[/name] spelling, or even [name]Katharine[/name], but this is a classic, elegant name!
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Susanna[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Evelyn[/name] is so-so for me…
[name]Hazel[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] - So sweet! Really quirky and vintage!
[name]Verity[/name] [name]Matilda[/name] - I don’t much care for [name]Verity[/name], and it feels a little out of place among your other vintage choices. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Verity[/name] is nice, if you want to switch it up!
[name]Magnolia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] - This is absolutely gorgeous!
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] - A bit on the soft side, so I might suggest [name]Clara[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], since [name]Margaret[/name] means “pearl,” or something like [name]Clara[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Clara[/name] [name]Bryony[/name], or [name]Clara[/name] [name]Vivian[/name].
[name]Helena[/name] [name]Iris[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t love the competing vowel sounds, but seriously love [name]Helena[/name]! I think [name]Helena[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] is great, and I like [name]Iris[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] or something, too!
[name]June[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] - [name]Penelope[/name] [name]June[/name] just works better in my opinion, but this is a fun name!
[name]Rosalind[/name] [name]Claire[/name] - I love [name]Rosalind[/name] so much! Great choice!
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] - Such a handsome choice! I love it!
[name]Benedict[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] - [name]Benedict[/name] is a great way to get to [name]Ben[/name] without the ever-popular [name]Benjamin[/name], which I love as well. And, [name]Oliver[/name] adds a touch of whimsy and playfulness that I really adore.
[name]Charles[/name] [name]Lucian[/name] - [name]Lucian[/name] isn’t my favorite, but it does spice up [name]Charles[/name] a bit more!
[name]Alastair[/name] [name]Paul[/name] - I’m not sure I could pull off [name]Alastair[/name], but [name]Alastair[/name] [name]Paul[/name] is a stunning combination!
[name]Felix[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name] - [name]Felix[/name] isn’t my favorite, but I love [name]Nathaniel[/name], and the two names pair very well together. [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Felix[/name] is very handsome, too!
[name]Maximilian[/name] [name]John[/name] - For some reason, something like [name]Maximilian[/name] [name]Jonas[/name] appeals more to me. [name]Maximilian[/name] feels like a bit too much name in my personal opinion, but it is neat.
[name]Augustin[/name] [name]Daniel[/name] - [name]Augustin/name is such a cool, underused name! And, [name]Daniel[/name] really grounds the combination. Good one!
[name]James[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] - [name]James[/name] is fantastic, really, and [name]Edmund[/name] is nice, too! I think I like [name]Edmond[/name] better, but both are much more interesting than [name]Edward[/name], I think…
[name]Leopold[/name] [name]Julian[/name] - [name]Leopold[/name] is seriously fantastic! I love [name]Julian[/name], but I don’t know if I’m 100% sold on this combination. I feel like [name]Leopold[/name] needs something a bit more straitlaced, along the lines of [name]Leopold[/name] [name]Matthew[/name], [name]Leopold[/name] [name]Frederick[/name], or [name]Leopold[/name] [name]Simon[/name].
[name]William[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] - Amazing, simply amazing. So handsome!
I basically <3 all of them. The only think I’d do is switch is [name]Clara[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] to [name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Daisy[/name]. [name]Daisy[/name] is so sweet as a middle name. Oh and I agree that [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] is [name]WAY[/name] too reminiscent of [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Arnold[/name].
[name]Benedict[/name] [name]Arnold[/name] is considered one of the worst traitors of all time. He was a general during the Revolutionary War (in the U.S.) and then he turned and went to the British side.
I personally love the name [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Oliver[/name], but I could never use it (being American and all)…I don’t think you’d have a problem with the name where you’re from.
Thank you so much for your comments! I still don”t know who [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Arnold[/name] is though, lol. Regardless, if I actually had a son called [name]Benedict[/name] I think the association would be offset by a second middle so it wouldn”t be so bad. Plus, I live in New Zealand
Thank you for your comments! I love your suggestion of [name]Clara[/name] [name]Vivian[/name], I do love the name [name]Vivian[/name].
Also, thank you for complimenting my name taste Some of these combos aren”t that thought out, to be honest, I just wanted to add to the ”Top 10 Boys and Girls Names” thread. I”m glad you like them though!
Ohhh, I see! Thank you for explaining!
That probably wouldn’t be a problem here in little New Zealand but I would probably switch up that combo anyway, just to be safe
