[name]Haven[/name]'t yet made a decision on our daughters middle name(s) as I’m just not sure I love anything ( that holds family meaning). We are adopting, and hoping to give two double middle names like our son has.
Tell me your favorite starting with C and J names, color names, [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Elisabeth[/name] variants.
I don’t like trendy, no S names as her 1st and last names start with S,and preferably out of the top 100.
Her first name is [name]Sena[/name] (her birth name we are keeping)
We are thinking [name]Sena[/name] [name]Belle[/name] or [name]Sena[/name] [name]Rue[/name] are cute nns
On the table;
Sena…
[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Belle[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] * Least favorite
Belle Marigold
Hello! I feel your pain of no one responding.
Theres [name]Annabelle[/name], Adabellle, [name]Anna[/name]-[name]Grace[/name], [name]Annabeth[/name] and you can pretty much add anything to [name]Anna[/name].
As for [name]Elizabeth[/name], I don’t love it but here are some variants:
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Alyssa[/name]
[name]Bethany[/name]
[name]Elspeth[/name]
I really like [name]Sena[/name] [name]Bell[/name] though.
It took me a minute to parse the section where you explicitly asked for suggestions, which was why I didn’t suggest anything the first time around. On the second read-through, I’m guessing “C/J” actually refers to names that start with C + names that start with J? I thought it was some abbreviation I wasn’t familiar with (and I had no clue what its variants might be). I was also confused about the three combos at the bottom, which I now think must be double middle names you’re considering to pair with [name]Sena[/name]. (Also…how are you pronouncing [name]Sena[/name]?)
I’m no good at doing two middle names, so I’ve just got singles listed, but you can totally mix and match.
J names:
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name] (questionable meaning/association for some, but you can get [name]Sena[/name] [name]Belle[/name] out of it?)
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Johanna[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Judith[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Justine[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Jerusha[/name] (nn [name]Senna[/name] [name]Rue[/name]?)
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Jacinthe[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Jonquil[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Jessamine[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Jade[/name]
Hmm. With [name]Belle[/name]/[name]Bella[/name] being a possible nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name] (not saying I particularly approve, but people do it), [name]Annabel[/name] feels like a good way to combine the two. I like [name]Sena[/name] [name]Annabel[/name].
Sorry, it is a confusing scenario, but seems like you figured it out- and exactly why I asked as I’ve exhausted everything I could come up with and you immediately came up with a million I never even thought about!
[name]Marigold[/name]- love it, too nature-y ? Is is really a color enough ?
[name]Bellatrix[/name]- love it too!! Thank you, thank you!
Her name is pronounced [name]Say[/name]-nah, but we 're thinking of going with [name]Sen[/name]-nah
[name]Even[/name] with all the [name]Senna[/name] name haters out there.
What about [name]Blue[/name] as a nickname?
You have [name]Sena[/name] [name]Belle[/name] and [name]Sena[/name] [name]Rue[/name] in your options and you mentioned color names. If you used a middle that was blue inspired you could call her [name]Sena[/name] [name]Blue[/name]. Maybe [name]Robin[/name]? or [name]Marina[/name]?
I really like the name [name]Sena[/name] - and I prefer the [name]Sen[/name]-nah pronunciation. [name]One[/name] of the other posters suggested [name]Sena[/name] [name]Joy[/name], and that stuck out as really pretty to me.
With the double middle names you already mentioned to go with fn of [name]Sena[/name], I think [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Violet[/name] is the best choice.
However, I think your options of [name]Sena[/name] [name]Belle[/name] and/or [name]Sena[/name] [name]Rue[/name] are pretty on their own too!
(Though you also may want to consider how the initials all go with your last name too. :D)
I like [name]Blue[/name] a lot, but due to the [name]Beyonce[/name] baby it won’t fly with hubby.
To clarify my post ( I’ve posted 5 times already about our adoption) but… my son has two middle names [name]Jack[/name] (hence looking for a J name) and my last name starts with a C ( hence the call for C names). I’m looking for names that will give her a strong place in our family. My name is a color, my grandma, great grandma and sister are [name]Anna[/name]'s, my husbands mom and her mom have [name]Elizabeth[/name] as a middle.
We can’t find and J names that I love so I started focusing on color and [name]Anna[/name] names. None of my signature names , except [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Violet[/name] have any family significance.
Anyone have a response to [name]Marigold[/name]? Too much nature?
.
While I love [name]Juniper[/name] and [name]June[/name] I just don’t think they are right.
Using my last name with [name]Annabel[/name] is an option many people have supported
Sena is really pretty. I even like it with the pron. Say-na.
Marigold is definitely color enough!
Elizabella Marigold
Coralie Marigold
Jessamine Rue/Ruby Jessamine
Jordana Isabel
Cecelia Elspeth
Rue Bettina/Bettina Rue (cannot decide which way I like best)
Sorry it took so long! Congratulations on your new addition, [name]Sena[/name]. [name]How[/name] old is she? Some of my favorite [name]Anna[/name] variations are [name]Annabel[/name] and [name]Annika[/name]. My favorite [name]Elisabeth[/name] variations are [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Bessie[/name], and [name]Betty[/name]/[name]Bette[/name]. My favorite names starting with C: [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Claire[/name], and [name]Catherine[/name]. J names: [name]Jemima[/name], [name]Jessamine[/name], [name]Jane[/name], and [name]Jean[/name]. Hmm my favorite color name? [name]Violet[/name]. It seems to be yours too! I would say [name]Scarlett[/name] but I realize [name]Sena[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] is a bit repetitive. I love [name]Sena[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Violet[/name], but I think the nickname [name]Sena[/name] [name]Belle[/name] is adorable. I don’t think using the name [name]Belle[/name] in her formal name is necessary, [name]Annabel[/name] could give you the “[name]Belle[/name]” you’re looking for, too. That being said, [name]Sena[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] is my favorite with the nickname [name]Sena[/name] [name]Belle[/name]!
[name]Hi[/name] goodkarma- Congratulations on the adoption! My 4 siblings are all adopted :o (And we all have 2 middle names as well!)
I think [name]Sena[/name] is a beautiful name, and I too prefer the “[name]Sen[/name]-ah” pronounciation. I’m going to try to give you some combos that include c names, j names, nature/colour names, and variants of [name]Anna[/name] or [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I love [name]Marigold[/name]!
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Isabel[/name] [name]Marigold[/name] (It feels like the flow is off a little with [name]Isabella[/name], and my personal preference is [name]Isabel[/name])
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Marigold[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]/la (I think [name]Isabella[/name] works a little better in this position)
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] ( I just flipped your combo, because I felt like the na from [name]Sena[/name] ran into the An from [name]Annabel[/name])
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Bethan[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Marigold[/name] [name]Corrinne[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Marigold[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Sena[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Edit[/name]: I’ll try to post again with more C and J names!
@shanmiller9: she’s 20 mos. I love [name]Scarlet[/name], but 3 S names does sound like a lot of Ss. I am glad you think [name]Annabel[/name] lends easily to [name]Sena[/name] [name]Belle[/name] as I am always explaining my sons name to people in professional offices ( [name]Leopold[/name] lends easily to [name]Leo[/name] to name nerds- not regular people!)
@labmama: I too think [name]Sena[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] flows better, but I just worry about [name]Belle[/name] being confusing being part of her 2nd middle- unfounded?
My inlaws think [name]Annabel[/name] plus my last name, like my son has it the best and most inclusive choice. Since you have adopted sibs- wdyt?
