I have fairly broad taste in names, I think, so I’m not really sure how to give any direction for suggestions other than giving some details about me. I’m hoping to transition to my new name before I go to college next year. I’m tall, dark-haired, blue-eyed, and probably more exotic than conventionally pretty. I’m okay with that. I like writing, art, and design; I’m really fascinated by function meets form and all the psychology behind it. I take my camera everywhere. I’m addicted to Etsy, leather jackets, boots, messenger bags made of suits, rhyming, day trips, hair clips, going to shows, [name]Doctor[/name] Who marathons, flea markets, collecting vintage posters, funky scarves and bracelets, and blogging.
That just about covers it. Thanks so much for reading.
To me, [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Wren[/name], [name]Francesca[/name] & [name]Penelope[/name] suit people with loud, bubbly personalities whereas [name]Guinevere[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Selene[/name] & [name]Vera[/name] suit calm & secluded personalities.
My favorites ( all are really wicked choices!)
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Guinevere[/name]
[name]Selene[/name]
Voilet
[name]Vera[/name]
I have a feeling [name]Francesca[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] & [name]Violet[/name] suit your description.
I like [name]Selene[/name] or [name]Francesca[/name].
[name]Selene[/name] would not have an obvious nn
[name]Francesca[/name] could have the nn [name]Fran[/name], [name]Franny[/name], Francy, [name]Chess[/name], Chesca -you sound ecclectic and a bit boho… so Chesca would be so quirky
The other name are lovely too but seem like ‘modern vintage’ 2012 baby girl names.
Except for [name]Vera[/name]- which is nms.
I think put the other names as mn with either [name]Selene[/name] or [name]Francesca[/name].
Ooh, I love Chesca. I don’t know why it didn’t immediately occur to me as a nickname for [name]Francesca[/name].
Honestly, I’m pretty introverted in general and I can be shy. I get a lot of “You seemed so standoffish and intimidating!” from people who are just getting to know me. But I’m really very good with people when I actually want to deal with them, and I can admit that I’m kind of volatile and really passionate. I’m the type to have three or so best friends, a small group of friends, and a lot of acquaintances.
That felt a little strange to type out, but hopefully it gives a little more personality background.
You sound like a young woman finding a place in her own skin, and only sharing ‘you’ with closer people who you know well. Finding a name that ‘fits’ will add a new confidence.
I like [name]Francesca[/name] even more for you now. To me it has an Italian feel of a passionate woman who fires up at times, yet has a soft sensitive side that hides within. Some one who walks to the beat of her own drum, yet doesn’t care what others think. Caring and devoted friend.
