Tema

Would love to hear your thoughts on Tema! Pronounced Teh-ma. What do you think? Have you heard of it before?
Thanks

I have never heard it before. I dislike it. I would have pronounced it as TEM-ma.

I’ve never heard of it before! I think it’s cute, a nice change from [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. Though spelling it Temma might help with pronunciation, because my first instinct is to read it as as TEE-mah.

I’ve never heard of it before. The sound doesn’t really appeal to me.

It doesn’t seem too odd, but I hadn’t heard of it. I would assume it was pronounced TEE-ma, so I agree that Temma makes more sense unless the spelling has a particular meaning. The similarity with the wildly popular [name_f]Emma[/name_f] could either be helpful (“like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] with a T”) or confusing (“Not [name_f]Emma[/name_f], Tema, with a T and one M”).

It’s the Danish word for “theme”, so that’s really all I hear.

I agree with the others, if you want the Teh-ma pronunciation you should go with Temma, though people would constantly confuse it with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f].

I think “[name_f]Jemma[/name_f]” would sound much better than Tema to be honest

I’ve never heard of this name before, and I am not a fan. It’s alright on paper, but quite odd to hear and say it.
