[name]Ethan[/name]: I pretty much completely agree with what you said. I want to like this name, but I don’t. The only upside is that I know a very cute little boy with this name.
[name]Andrew[/name]: [name]Love[/name] this name. If it weren’t a Biblical name, I would probably use it. I know two people with this name - one is always called by his last name and the other’s first name is [name]Robert[/name] but goes by [name]Andrew[/name], his middle (a family tradition). [name]Andrew[/name] is the smartest kid I know. [name]Do[/name] not use this in the middle, use this as a first! It’s wonderful. Plus, the nickname [name]Drew[/name] is cool.
[name]Nicholas[/name]: I have a friend with this name who goes by [name]Nick[/name], and he is a very funny kid. So I have good associations with this name. But, I’m not a big fan of it. [name]Nick[/name] just sounds very abrupt to me. I like [name]Nicholas[/name], not crazy about [name]Nick[/name].
[name]Jacob[/name]: Well, being that this is my brother’s name, I love it. He goes by [name]Jake[/name], which is a great name in my opinion. I also know quite a few other Jacobs who all go by [name]Jacob[/name], and they’re all pretty great.
I think this name ages very well. [name]Jake[/name] is cute for a boy, teenager, and young adult as a nickname, and [name]Jacob[/name] works for every age. Great choice, despite the popularity.
[name]Gabriel[/name]: I really am not a fan of this name at all. I knew a kid named [name]Gabe[/name], and the poor kid was not liked by anyone. Whenever I hear this name I think of TP’d trees and mockery. I also just don’t care for the sound of it.
[name]Aaron[/name]: Not a fan of this name. I know a kid whose been in my class since 1st grade, and now that we’re in high school he has finally accepted himself as being gay (my parents said they’ve known since 1st grade). He’s very flamboyant, and let me tell you, people are asses, pardon my language. While I will always love and stand up for [name]Aaron[/name], that’s the only thing that comes to my mind.
I also just don’t like the sound of it… For me, the only redeeming thing is NBA player [name]Arron[/name] Afflalo.
[name]Jonah[/name]: I really like the sound of this name. I like it’s very cool and although I don’t usually care for the “[name]Jo[/name]” sound, I like this. Personally, I dislike the [name]Jonah[/name] and the Whale story (or “Big [name]Fish[/name]” depending on who I’m debating). I think it’s a little ridiculous, but apart from that association, it’s a good name.
[name]William[/name]: It’s classic, traditional, but to me, a little boring. Best in the middle as you said.
[name]Benjamin[/name]: I adore this name. I love the nickname [name]Ben[/name], I think this name is classic and ages very well. I would love to use it, but can’t. I definitely think this one is a big yes. I’ve yet to meet someone name [name]Benjamin[/name], but when I do, I think I will be very excited. Haha.
[name]Michael[/name]: This is my brother’s middle name, so again, I really like it. I love the nickname [name]Mike[/name], and [name]Mikey[/name] is cute for a little boy. [name]Michael[/name] is classic and great. Despite it’s almost constant popularity, I don’t know many people with this name. One kid I know named [name]Michael[/name] is funny and smart, and pretty athletic. He’s a good kid.
Overall, great names. My favorite is by far [name]Andrew[/name] though.
