We welcomed [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] on [name_f]October[/name_f] 11th at 36 weeks (hence the late announcement). She was 6 lbs 5.8 oz and 19 inches long. She joins big sisters [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] is one of those names we always loved but were never sure we were going to use. Our top contenders when we found out we were expecting were [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. Our initial pick was [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] but that didn’t feel quite right, it needed more spunk. We could feel kicks at just 14 weeks much to everyone’s surprise. So we discussed [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] but that wasn’t quite right either. Back to the drawing board we brought back [name_f]Tess[/name_f] which we both loved but was a bit tricky to use. Finding a middle name to work with [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is a bit of a challenge and with our 1 syllable last name it is less than ideal on paper. We considered [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] but landed on [name_f]Tess[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. It has vintage charm, a good bit of spunk and enough southern flair to fit with our older girls. We love it and her name fits her to a tee.
Congratulations! You’ve given your daughter a fabulous name! (The photo link didn’t work for me either. I think you may have the file permissions set to private?)
