Tessa or Anastasia?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I can’t decide whether to use [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] or [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] as a first name, maybe [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] could work?
What would be your pick and why?
Thanks in advance!

If they were alone I would pick [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] because it’s more versatile. As a combo I would pick [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] because it flows better than [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. [name_f]Tasia[/name_f] could work as an [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] nickname so I don’t see why [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] couldn’t, it’d just be a stretch.

I think [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] or [name_f]Tess[/name_f] could work as a nickname for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]! It’s a little stretchy but the sounds are there.

[name_f]My[/name_f] personal preference would be for [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] over [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. I have a preference for shorter, spunkier names generally and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is just a touch too princessy for me. But it really depends on your personal style, any sibling/future sibling names, and the middle name and surname.

Both are strong, classy, versatile choices which feel known but not overexposed, so I really don’t think you can go wrong! Good luck :four_leaf_clover:

[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is my vote

Anastsia!

I personally prefer [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] by far, I personally just don’t like [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and it get‘s mispronounced very often

I think Anastasia nn tessa could really work but personally I prefer Tessa

I personally really love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]! there’s lots of different ways to pronounce [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] so if mispronunciations would bother you that might be something to consider.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]!

To me [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is a bold striking name with a powerful majestic sound. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] deserves to be used more than she does currently. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is fab! Whereas [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is sweet but just not as sparkly as [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. I do think [name_f]Tess[/name_f] or [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] could work as a nickname for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] though.

I personally prefer [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], but you should probably go with [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] as full, [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] as a nn

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is lovely! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I prefer [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] just because the spunkiness and how there’s only one way to pronounce it(as far as I know!), and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], while pretty it’s to fussy for some people, and while Tess/Tessa could be a nn, people will automatically shorten it to Ana/Anna, [name_f]Stasia[/name_f], or [name_u]Stacy[/name_u], so you might have to correct people if you want the nickname to be [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]

[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]! So warm and bright!

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]! I like it better because it’s just prettier in my imo and can have more nicknames.

I love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and also like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] very much. I would definitely use [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] or [name_f]Tess[/name_f] as an [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] nn. I’m not generally into longer names but [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] absolutely works for me. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is also smart, and is very user-friendly in that it is so easy to spell and pronounce, while not being over-used.

I also like Taisy and [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] nns. (of course there are heaps of others as well).

I feel that [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is to much of a stretch for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. I’m not much of a fan of either of these names for a first name. Of you like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] what about [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] even Anatheresa/Anna-Theresa

I like the name [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] could definitely be a nn for it.

I personally prefer [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] but I really admire [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] too. I think [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is a bit of a stretch as a nn for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] but it could work, go for it I say!

I love both names! [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is one of the most beautiful names. It’s very euphonic and fantastic. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is such a lovely name. It sounds warm and lively.

Ultimately, I would pick [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] for real life because it’s down-to-earth. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is more of a dream name.
