Thacia?

[name]Do[/name] any of you like the name Thacia? I’ve only ever, ever heard it when we read the Bronze [name]Bow[/name] in 7th grade literature. So, history, meaning, personal expirence? I love it but, I feel like Thacia has dropped off the face of the earth.

With good old reliable Google this is what I know so far beyond it being a name in The Bronze [name]Bow[/name]. It’s the name of an old city in Tunisia that used to be a seat of a bishop. Thacia Montana - Wikipedia
My only other guess, since Google and Wikipedia are my only name historian credentials, is that it’s a misspelling of Thracia, a province in the [name]Roman[/name] empire circa 120 [name]AD[/name].
As for my own personal opinions on it, I’m worried I’m not pronouncing it right. Tha, like [name]Thaddeus[/name], sea-uh. Tha, with a long a sound, she-uh? Am I getting warmer here?

It’s pronounced like [name]Thay[/name] (like They and [name]Thayer[/name])-Shuh (like shun). It has a th sound at the begining
