Thaniel?? Hmm what do you think?

So I heard this name today but it was spelled Thanuel… and it got me thinking about our little one. We have been thinking of [name]Max[/name] but I am afraid that it is too common. This older gentlemans nn is Than which I kind of like. I think it goes well with our 4 syllable last name. What are your opinions on this name?

If [name]Nate[/name] can work on its own, I don’t see why [name]Thaniel[/name] couldn’t.

Hmm, it’s intriguing! I think it could definitely work on its own, although I can’t help but think that it looks like [name]Nathaniel[/name] with the “na” chopped off the front. Still, I think if others saw it, they’d just be intrigued by the novel name choice. I like [name]Thane[/name] and [name]Niall[/name]/[name]Niel[/name] as nns more, personally, though.

I have seen [name]Thane[/name] before and never really thought of it with our last name. I honestly didn’t even think of [name]Nathaniel[/name] until you said this, but I can see it now written out. I think with his name was spelled Thanuel I didn’t associate it with [name]Nathaniel[/name]. Good point though.
