Congratulations, [name_f]Christine[/name_f]! I hope you’re feeling okay after her birth, it sounds a bit stressful. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Joelle[/name_f] is a beautiful name, and a baby is better than a turkey anyway! Enjoy this cosy precious newborn time!! Lots of love
Thank you all so much! The delivery was tough - because I have a fused spine, they could not place an epidural. Everyone had assured me they would be able to and it wouldn’t be a problem, then I go into labor and the anesthesia guy shows up and was like - Uhm, nope. Too risky and it won’t work anyway. I was pretty angry. I got to 9 cm’s in a reasonable amount of time but then stalled out. I just couldn’t take it anymore after 20 or so hours so c-section was the last resort. They tried to do it under a spinal block but that didn’t work either so it had to be general. Then she needed the NICU for awhile but we are now home and safe and doing well. She is the most incredible thing ever
