"THE" Baby Boy Name... The Search Continues

Hello!!
I posted a few weeks ago about possible boy names and I got amazing feedback from the NameBerry community. Thank you again to everyone who posted. [name]Alas[/name], none of the boy name options I brought back to my husband worked for him. We are all set with girl names thank goodness. We won’t know the babies gender for another 2 weeks but my gut is saying that it’s a boy. Maybe it’s just anxiety about not having a boy name picked out? . My husband wants to name him after a friend of ours who died in an accident ([name]Aaron[/name]). I was originally very happy with this idea but my youngest Uncle died from cancer suddenly this year. He was the namesake of a great uncle who was shot and killed during the Korean war. Now I feel skiddish about using the name [name]Aaron[/name], or any name that is associated with family tragedy (This is just my personal feeling not something I am projecting about anyone else’s naming preference.). Last time I was working off of a list made up of mostly family names that were meaningful to me.
This time I am looking for names that have a similar sound/ feel to names that I just like, [name]Corin[/name], [name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Ivan[/name]. I know that they don’t sound alike but to me they all have crisp and soft qualities while remaining distinctly masculine. We both love the name [name]Jasper[/name] but it is our dogs name so obviously not an option. My name is [name]Corinne[/name] so [name]Corin[/name] is too close to my name. I am very fond of [name]Ivan[/name] but my husband is not on board with the [name]Ivan[/name] the Terrible association. What other names would you put on a list with these names?

Our Girl name choices-
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Elise[/name]- My husband’s name is [name]Charles[/name] ([name]Charlie[/name]) and my middle name is [name]Elizabeth[/name] so she would have a bit of both of us. [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] are different enough for us not to get confused.
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Solene[/name] - [name]Genevieve[/name] is a family name that I have always loved. I just like the name [name]Solene[/name]

Family names my husband doesn’t really like- [name]Nolan[/name], [name]Anders[/name], [name]Andersen[/name]. They may still be middle name options in addition to [name]William[/name] and [name]Alexander[/name].

Names we both like but aren’t sure we love- [name]Rivers[/name] and [name]Laughlin[/name]

Since you like the name [name]Corin[/name] but feel it’s too close to your name how about [name]Corbin[/name]? [name]Corbin[/name] [name]William[/name] or [name]Corbin[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] sounds very handsome. Of the other boy names you posted but aren’t sure about, [name]Laughlin[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] has a nice ring to it. [name]Rivers[/name] is a nice name, but I’m not sure if people would call him [name]River[/name] and forget about the S.

[name]Hope[/name] this helps!

I actually like just [name]River[/name] my husband likes the the idea giving him the same name as the lead singer from the band Weezer, [name]Rivers[/name] Cuomo. I am sure that issue with the S would come up.

The name [name]River[/name] is great. I have a cousin with that name and he wore it fine as a little boy and now as a teenager.

Trying to use all lists to generate suggestions:
[name]Casper[/name]
[name]Isidore[/name]
[name]Colin[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
[name]Tristan[/name]
[name]Birch[/name]
[name]Guillaume[/name]
[name]Alexandre[/name] (I notice your girl names are french; variations of your family names)

[name]Hope[/name] that helped!

Jame1881-

I love the name [name]Colin[/name]. The [name]Secret[/name] Garden will always be a favorite book and there is a character named [name]Colin[/name]. It's already taken as a first name in the family though as well as [name]Alexandre[/name], yup the French spelling. Good call :) [name]Birch[/name] is cool thanks.

I love [name]Laughlin[/name] and am considering it for my LO! It’s a variation of my maiden name so it holds special meaning
