The best way to honor someone

Hey friends! Was hoping to get advice. All my 4 other kids have honor middle names.

What’s the best way to honor [name_f]Diana[/name_f]:
[name_f]Diana[/name_f] as a middle name?
or
Could [name_f]Annie[/name_f] work as a first name enough to honor [name_f]Diana[/name_f]?

I think [name_f]Diana[/name_f] as a middle would be gorgeous! Some other ways are through [name_f]Diane[/name_f], [name_f]Didi[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Annie[/name_f]! [name_f]Annie[/name_f] works great as a first, but I don’t love it with your other kids’ names if I remember them correctly. :two_hearts:

I think [name_f]Annie[/name_f] works :woman_shrugging: Sweet and charming. I guess it just depends whether you a)like [name_f]Diana[/name_f] or [name_f]Annie[/name_f] best b) want people to immediately know it’s an honour.

Both work equally well in my eyes!

Both work but you could also do a similar name to [name_f]Diana[/name_f] (Diane, [name_u]Dana[/name_u], etc)

I think Diana is really pretty. Annie is cute too and I think works if it reminds you of Diana.
Other names that mean divine:
Astrid
Dione
Rhiannon
Celeste

Either works, though I must say I am partial toward [name_f]Diana[/name_f] as a middle! So lovely. I would also suggest [name_f]Anya[/name_f], but it might be too stretchy for your liking.

I prefer using the real name itself, and making it a middle. I’ve done it with each of my kids, and it’s meant a lot to the family members who were honored or who had a close relationship with the person honored.
