This was actually based off of a game we played in playwrighting class and it was loads of fun. I had to modify the structure to make it work in a forum, though. Here’s how you play:

You give a description of a character (no pre-existing ones, please make it up yourself), stating whether they are make or female and give a general idea of their age and the time period they live in.

Describe their personality and any goals they have. You may include physical traits but this is not required, and if you do, don’t post photos or say they look like an existing person.

So once you have given your description, the next person will post a name(first and middle required, last is optional)they think best suits that description. Then they give their own description. And so on.

This woman lives in the civil war era with her family. She has five younger sisters, all of whom have gotten happily married and have had children. However, she has not married yet and it seems no man is interested. She is very afraid of becoming a “worthless” and lonely old maid and desperately wishes to wed anyone who comes along, and spends her days at social functions hoping to meet someone. What should her name be?

She was taken in by her Aunt, who was on bad terms with her sister-in-law (this woman’s mom) and verbally abused her and hated her for it. She is now an animal-sitter for hire, since her aunt did not give her college money to learn how to do anything else. However, she recently met a hot client who may or may not be interested in her, and for the first time in years her life seems to have purpose. What is her name?
