I am starting our second naming journey, now haunting sister names for [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]. Our last time was pretty crazy and all over place so I’d like to start earlier and ideally have a top 10 by the end for back ups.
Firstly, I want to shorten the list we have so far (in the comment on the page 2).

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] (This one bothers me. I like the sound but boyfriend had actually picked this one because of his star crush [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m]) !
[name_f]Solveig[/name_f] (I can’t see myself with daughter named [name_f]Solveig[/name_f], though it used to be one of my crushes)
[name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f] (I love this one and her story too)

So basically I want you to help me shorten the list. Now I counted 30 names(without slashed ones) and I would ideally want to have 10-14 left. Comment, make tops or name your favorites, whatever you want. I am not starting middle names yet so I don’t want combos. I don’t really care for sibsets and we have decided to go wilder that time but if you think something is horrid, awful with sister [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], let me know.
And if some of you ladies have awesome magical suggestions, I would appreciate them. Nothing is too crazy or out-there for us, but we wouldn’t like overly complicated spellings or hideous namesakes.

Well, if you don’t want to have both girls with C initials, cut [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] and [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f].

Names I find a little too close to [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] to be sisters: [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f], [name_f]Aquilina[/name_f], [name_f]Wisteria[/name_f].

Other names I’d cut:

Rosemint - It’s the two words, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and Mint, put together that just sounds a bit strange to me. I’d suggest alternatives of [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] (keeps the -mint sound) or another [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name - [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] might work for you.

[name_f]Leontine[/name_f]: I find this one very masculine sounding, maybe because of [name_m]Leon[/name_m] being a boy’s name and -tine being a more masculine ending compared to -tina.

[name_f]Electra[/name_f]/[name_f]Eluned[/name_f]: I seem to remember you posting somewhere else using the nickname [name_f]Nell[/name_f] for your daughter. If I’m right on this, I’d avoid a name that has the prominent -ell sound in it - if she ends up being nicknamed [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] at school or something, [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] are far too close.

Wow, so much gorgeousness. [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is stunning!

My favorites:

Artemida/[name_u]Artemis[/name_u] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], Artemida is intriguing. [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f] is another good one–[name_f]Artemisia[/name_f] Gentileschi would be a cool namesake.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] - Has really been growing on me lately. Such a singularly gorgeous sound.
[name_f]Minerva[/name_f]/[name_f]Athena[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] (you get a goddess and Professor McGonagall!) and like [name_f]Athena[/name_f]. [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] is adorable, even with the mouse. [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] and [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] would be too cute.
[name_f]Nemea[/name_f] - I was surprised by how much I like this. It’s so cool and strong.
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f] - A bit more generic than some of your others, but the sound is gorgeous and it’s great with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f].
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] - My all-time favorite name ever, so I can’t not vote for it.
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]/[name_f]Ottoline[/name_f] - Fantastic, but I agree with your reservations about pronunciation, plus it’s a little cutesy.
[name_f]Galatea[/name_f] - Crushing hardcore on this one of late. I guess it isn’t the most positive story ever, but it’s such an elegant name. Maybe [name_f]Tea[/name_f]/[name_f]Tia[/name_f] as a nickname? You could also use [name_u]Allie[/name_u].

I’d eliminate:

[name_f]Constance[/name_f] and [name_f]Solveig[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] sound too clunky next to lovely [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]. And maybe [name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f]? It feels a bit matchy.

First of all, I understand that you want to go “crazier” but I think you should still use something that goes nicely with sister [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]'s so statuesque and royal, and you’ve got plenty of those on this list.

These are the ones I like for you two:
[name_f]Ceridwen[/name_f] - If I can’t have her someone else should use her.
[name_f]Constance[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Constance[/name_f], and this might be my very favourite for you. Unless the Co-Co bothers you.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] - Gorgeous [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]. The only thing is the C-A thing. But if you’re fine with it, keep it. (I would be by the way.)
[name_f]Electra[/name_f] - strong and noble. I love [name_f]Elektra[/name_f].
Gwenonwy or [name_f]Gwenore[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Gwenore[/name_f] with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], they’re both clunky and gorgeous- Gwenonwy’s beautiful too though.
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] - [name_m]Ah[/name_m], the last wife of [name_m]Aeneas[/name_m]! And the [name_m]Titus[/name_m] chick. [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f].

[name_f]Minerva[/name_f] - Oh, this might just be the best one. [name_f]Minerva[/name_f]'s perfectly clunky gorgeous, and how cute is [name_u]Nelly[/name_u] & [name_f]Minnie[/name_f]? Swoon alert!
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f] - Gorgeous and is actually perfect with big sister’s name.
[name_f]Pelagia[/name_f] - Hauntingly beautiful but still clunky. [name_f]Love[/name_f] it, and love it with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f].

[name_f]Aquilina[/name_f] - Pretty. Not my thing, but it’s pretty. I’m not sure I like it with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], though.

Artemida/[name_u]Artemis[/name_u] - I love [name_u]Artemis[/name_u]. I don’t like Artemida, but I like [name_f]Artemisia[/name_f]. I think they both have good middle name potential.

[name_f]Constance[/name_f] - I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Constance[/name_f], glad to see that someone else likes it! I rarely see it listed on here/other name sites. Might be too similar to [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], though.

Only 9 this time that I really like for you:

[name_u]Artemis[/name_u]- this version of the name is the only one I like. It’s such a strong name, but I’m not sure how well this version goes with the more “feminine” sounding and flowy [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]. Still one of my favorite names.
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]- I actually really like this with [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f]. I can’t really find a nickname I like though. What were you thinking of using?
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]- Perfect for [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], in my opinion. [name_m]Both[/name_m] share a lot of the same charm.
Melpomene/[name_f]Pomeline[/name_f]- Can’t decide which one I like more. [name_m]Both[/name_m] have interesting sounds.

I have talked to boyfriend and he enacted that we don’t want any obviously wordy names, not so great namesakes or the ones with unclear pronunciation, so we said goodbye to [name_f]Medea[/name_f], Rosemint, [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], Ottile(but keeping [name_f]Ottoline[/name_f]) [name_f]Wisteria[/name_f] and [name_f]Solveig[/name_f]. So hard to delete Rosemint, I love her much but I hope I can move her to middles. And we added [name_f]Leocadia[/name_f], [name_f]Sophronia[/name_f] and [name_f]Melisande[/name_f]/[name_f]Melusine[/name_f] from suggested ones. Now, new list:
