[name]Both[/name] [name]Greta[/name] and [name]Margot[/name] are nn’s for the name [name]Margaret[/name] so I would eliminate that option. [name]Hedwig[/name] isn’t very attractive and shares an initial with [name]Helene[/name]. By the way, is your family [name]German[/name]? It’s hard to tell because you have a mixture of cultures for the siblings (there’s [name]German[/name], Dutch, French). [name]Louisa[/name] would normally be spelled [name]Luise[/name] in [name]German[/name] and [name]Edith[/name] would roughly be pronounced like “EH-dit” not “EE-dith” in [name]German[/name]. I like [name]Rosemarie[/name] [name]Magda[/name] [name]Louise[/name] with the family names. Or just stick with [name]Edith[/name] [name]Magda[/name] [name]Louise[/name].
Sibling Names
[name]Helene[/name] [name]Carolina[/name] [name]Sophie[/name] - C’s are usually K’s in [name]German[/name] so it would be [name]Karolina[/name].
[name]Philippa[/name] [name]Odetta[/name] [name]Margurite[/name] - This is [name]Marguerite[/name], right? [name]Marguerite[/name] is French and the [name]German[/name] would be [name]Margaretha[/name]/[name]Margarethe[/name]. [name]Pippa[/name] is really an English nickname so I don’t find it [name]German[/name] at all.
[name]Anouk[/name] [name]Isobel[/name] [name]Doutzen[/name] - [name]Anouk[/name] and [name]Doutzen[/name] are more Dutch than [name]German[/name].
[name]Margot[/name] [name]Ada[/name] [name]Leonora[/name] - [name]Margot[/name] is French, Marquerite is French and [name]Greta[/name] is Scandinavian/[name]German[/name]. They’re all basically the same name only in different variations.
I just wanted to point out some things that I noticed. I don’t want to freak you out by my nitpicking. I just want to make the siblings names as legitimate sounding as possible. If the issues I’ve raised don’t bother you, then just ignore my observations.
Thank you for your observations- they’re very helpful!
I only realized a little bit ago that in [name]German[/name], [name]Carolina[/name] would be [name]Karolina[/name], so I’ll be sure to change that.
I’ve always had a little bit of trouble with the u and e’s in [name]Marguerite[/name]. Thanks for the corrections, [name]Philippa[/name] [name]Odetta[/name] Margeurite will be
changed to [name]Philippa[/name] [name]Odetta[/name] Margarethe.
[name]Anouk[/name] [name]Isobel[/name] [name]Doutzen[/name] is a name I don’t intend to change. The family that I"m writing about is based in [name]Austria[/name], but the mother is half Dutch. There are family members in Switzerland, [name]France[/name] and the Netherlands as well.
I see what you mean with [name]Margot[/name], Marguerite, and [name]Greta[/name], so the name simply won’t do, unless I change Margot’s name. Thank you!
