Hey everyone. Get comfy, this is gonna be a long one….
I think we have got our final list. We’ve posted a lot lately, sorry about that, but we just want to land on something and get it right. For us, we like to get the name squared away well before baby. It actually helps us to better connect to the idea of having another kid if the kid has an “identity” — not sure if any other berries can relate to this.
We would love to get final feedback on this list. What are your top three names out of what we’ve chosen?
A few things you should know, for context:
- My late father’s name was William Joshua. We named our first daughter Billie, after him, and intend to give this baby the middle name of Joshua, also after him. We are Jewish, so we also get a Hebrew name at birth. My dad’s Hebrew name was Zev, which means Wolf. We cannot use Zev as a first name because it’s very popular where I live.
- As per above point, when picking a name in our family, we also have to consider the Hebrew name too. So we have given thought to this as well, and included this in our list. (Sometimes we opted for a Yiddish name in our list, which works too)
- We are very big on nicknames. My daughter was born Billie but goes almost exclusively by Buzzy! So we have considered nicknames in our list as well.
- Our last name starts with an R, and rhymes with Fossil.
