The Grocery Store Cashier

Yesterday, as I was going through the line at the supermarket I noticed the cashier’s name tag – [name]Glenna[/name]. This name immediately interested me as I have never met a [name]Glenna[/name] before. Upon researching the name I found out that It was actually quite popular in the first half of the 20th century and didn’t fall out of the top 1000 until around 1970. Seeing as this lady looked to be in her early thirties or so, her name is just a tad before her time. My assumption is that she was named after a [name]Glen[/name]. What are your thoughts?

I like the name [name]Glenna[/name], it sounds pretty and vintage, but not overused. I think it’s pretty cool!

I have never heard of the name [name]Glenna[/name] and I’m not a huge fan of it.

I think it’s really pretty and unique  Although I can’t picture it on a little girl.

It’s intriguing, I like it!

I like [name]Glenda[/name]. If I met a baby [name]Glenna[/name] I would connect it more with [name]Brenna[/name] or [name]McKenna[/name] so it wouldn’t strike me as especially vintagey & green unless she was twins with a [name]Fern[/name] or something. I think [name]Glenna[/name] is nicer on an older person, I would connect it more as a [name]Glen[/name] honor name or think of [name]Glen[/name] Close. I do like [name]Glen[/name] or [name]Glenda[/name] on a girl, but [name]Glenna[/name] could skew more trendy feeling for me.

It’s okay, but I prefer [name]Glenda[/name].

I know a [name]Glenna[/name] in her early twenties. I have known her since elementary school and it has always suited her well. I feel like it’s a name that can definitely grow with you … doesn’t sound too old when you’re young, or too young when you’re older. I think it’s beautiful and uncommon.

It was the name of my orthodontist she is probably in her 50s now. I think it is pretty but not anything special.
