Not to go into too much detail, but I’m working on a romance series centered around seasonal holidays and witches. The first follows a girl who ends up with her girlfriend’s ex, who is the Christmas/Yule Witch.
Witchcraft is repeatedly used as a metaphor for queerness, my thought being that the girlfriend has been repressing some innate magic. Continuing this, I want the third book to follow the sister of said girlfriend, and wondered if it’d be interesting for the main character to be revealed as said holiday witch, in this case Thanksgiving / the Harvest.
Should I use this “shocking twist,” or stick to the pattern of the other books.
- Yes, these muggles have magic!
- No, they’re just muggles!
