[name]One[/name] of my good friends had her baby yesterday. His name is Deklyn.
I love the name. I absolutely hate hate HATE the spelling…ugh! I have a brother named [name]Declan[/name] so I’ve seen people spell it all different ways. This is the WORST way I’ve seen yet [name]IMO[/name].
What do you think?

I personally don’t like the name either, so that’s about as bad as it can get–trendy and misspelled.
Trendy yes…my brother was born in 1998 before it became popular! Funny how my parents picked a unique name but now it’s common to see it.
Congratulations to your friend but I honestly feel a little sorry for the son having such a terribly spelt name! [name]Declan[/name] is one of my favourites but that spelling is so unattractive.
That’s the problem- I [name]LOVE[/name] her and the baby. And it’s a great name. [name]Just[/name] a terrible, trendy spelling. Ugh

It’s a nice name, but I don’t care for it personally. However, but if I saw “DEKLYN” I would assume the ‘owner’ was female…

I don’t mind the spelling because it won’t be mispronounced with this spelling. JMO
I love [name]Declan[/name]. Deklyn… I just do not get the creative spelling thing, what am I missing? Its the same name as everyone else, just nobody knows how to spell it…

[name]Declan[/name] is awesome. The nickname Deck is so cute. With that spelling, he may get called [name]Lyn[/name]. Poor child.
