[name]Savannah[/name] [name]Emily[/name], [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Portland[/name] [name]Madison[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Jennifer[/name], Somerset [name]Rose[/name], [name]Alexandria[/name] [name]Lyn[/name], [name]LaFayette[/name] hope, Rosepine [name]Ella[/name]… all these names have towns for the first name and I was thinking that it was wicked cool, but the husband, [name]Scott[/name] [name]Ruston[/name], dislikes this because his names are towns and he was always teased. I don’t like that these names would be teasers. In my opinion, they are pretty cool. Tell me what you think for your first, second, third, and fourth choices. Thanks!!
Your names are so cool! I think a few are overboard, Lafeyette, [name]Portland[/name] seem a bit much. I like [name]Rose[/name] Somerset better. All the others are perfect!
[name]How[/name] about [name]Egypt[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
I think some of these names are pretty cool! I would change some of them around, though:
- [name]Emily[/name] [name]Savannah[/name]
- [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Hope[/name]
- [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
- [name]Alexandria[/name] [name]Lyn[/name]
I am absolutely loving these names! This are my top out of your list:
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Savannah[/name] [name]Emily[/name]
Somerset [name]Rose[/name]
However i may change some of them around to:
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Madison[/name]
[name]Savannah[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
Somerset [name]Hope[/name]
I in no way think that girls would get teased with these names, they are so beautiful and feminine! Go for it!
I love the fact that a LOT of these names (Somerset, [name]Alexandria[/name], [name]Lafayette[/name], [name]Ruston[/name]) are in [name]Louisiana[/name]! I find them very different and I’m actually kinda liking Somerset as a first name. But…I just thought about it…if you live anywhere near [name]Louisiana[/name], there’s more chance people from these parts would recognize them as places and not as first names. However, I say Kudos on Somerset [name]Rose[/name].
I actually live in [name]Maine[/name] so I don’t think many people would know them as places.
There’s a town called [name]Hope[/name] in BC. If you wanted to move that to a first instead of a middle?
I think it’s a cool idea.

I would so go for it then. That’s just my opinion. That’s if hubby goes for it too. Somerset [name]Rose[/name] is adorable. I even liked the suggestion of Somerset [name]Hope[/name].
Although Somerset is a county in [name]Maine[/name]… so that would be recognized as a place name. And of course [name]Portland[/name]. But I totally think you could get away with the others without probably zero teasing.
I like [name]Savannah[/name], [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], Somerset and [name]Alexandria[/name]. [name]Portland[/name] doesn’t sound very name-y to me (or feminine), [name]Lafayette[/name] and Rosepine are too out there imo. I don’t think a girl named [name]Savannah[/name], [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], Somerset or [name]Alexandria[/name] would be teased because her name is also a place.
I love place names! I actually used two when naming my daughters: [name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]. I have never lived in either of these places, but have lived in some of your other choices. The only time I think that if would be weird or would have teasing potential would be if you were [name]Dallas[/name] living in [name]Dallas[/name], or [name]Austin[/name] in [name]Austin[/name], [name]Savannah[/name] in [name]Savannah[/name] or [name]Georgia[/name] in [name]Georgia[/name]. Now that I think about it… I have actually never known someone with a place name that lived in their place. It might be something they innately avoid.
Y’know, [name]Lafayette[/name] used to be a pretty common male name. It’s not too weird per se, but despite its feminine sound, I have trouble seeing a girl with it.
I agree with your hubby.
[name]Hi[/name]
My daughter’s name is [name]Savannah[/name] [name]Kate[/name] and if you like [name]Savannah[/name] I’d go with it because I haven’t had any negative reactions and lots of people just go on and on about how beautiful her name is
My second choice would be [name]Charlotte[/name].
Good luck with hubby… I’m pregnant with our 4th and having the same naming trouble with the other half
I agree, just get away from teh really obvius ones like [name]Portland[/name] and you’re in business.
He has a personal issue with the matter so I’d suggest not to push about it with the very obvious geographical names. He simply knows best, because he’s been hurt about it… You can’t reason with that with logic.
