I’ve heard of an [name_f]Ann[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], and for boys I have heard [name_u]William[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_u]David[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u].
[name_u]Michael[/name_u] is so boring for me lol not sure what basic really means. Depends on the names you’re familiar with. Im guessing [name_u]Michael[/name_u] isn’t very common in Japan for example
my best friends’s family has the most basic names possible - think “anne, sarah, & john smith.” they think it’s funny and it makes them hard to google ^^
Basic names (to me) are often the ones you disregard… Until one day when you start thinking of them and realise how beautiful they are and that’s why they’re so common.
Hahaha I really love all the names you said were ‘basic’
My grandma was Elizabeth Ann and I always thought her name was beautiful so simply effortless. I think Ann would be really refreshing as a first name nowadays I have never met a baby Ann! William James to me is lovely as well very strong. I have to agree with @minxtruck they are definitely classic rather than basic!
What would you class as basic? I think for me it would be names I see over & over again for example Rose as a the last part of a hyphenated name like Evie-Rose, Lily-Rose or Ellie-Rose would be basic or in the middle name slot paired with something popular like Olivia Rose or Isla Rose I know several Olivia Rose’s that to me is basic because Olivia Rose has predicability. Whereas Rose Antigone for example wouldn’t be ‘basic’ as to me Rose Antigone is very surprising to me basic is predictability nowadays an Ann Elizabeth wouldn’t be predictable at all but Isabella Rose would be.
