I’m currently adapting part of a working idea into a short story for a contest. Without getting into the nitty gritty of the ritual, two sisters attempt to become witches, but while one succeeds, the other is used and abandoned. She eventually goes on to become an assassin, at odds with her witchy sister. Who should become the assassin?

  • Ashael “Ash”
  • Azerah “Azzy”

Difficult choice, so I think both work well. Ashael has more of a gentle sound, but Azerah just feels so witchy, so she became my choice for the witch path.
