[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries! So, my son is obsessed with the cartoon movie, The Iron Giant. In the movie, the little boy (Hogarth) befriends a giant robot that saves the world. Anyway, since I’ve seen the movie so many times, the name Hogarth sounds very normal and familiar to me. Would you use this name? I love combination of Hogarth [name_m]Christopher[/name_m].
It doesn’t sound attractive to me, sorry.
Not at all. It doesn’t sound very attractive to me either, but it also doesn’t feel very much like a name. It would be slightly better as a middle name, but even then, I wouldn’t personally use it.
Hogarth would be a cruel burden to bear. It’s endearing on a cartoon kid, but not everyone has seen the Iron Giant.
It sounds like a mashup of “Hoe” and “barf” and it spells out H-O-G to boot.
Please consider alternative forms like [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] perhaps?
I’m not necessarily considering this name, I just wanted to know what everyone else thought. Thanksn
I was going to say it made me think of the Iron Giant. I think it sounded odder when I first watched it as opposed to now, but would definitely be a hard name to wear. I do think the combo is handsome for what it’s worth.
I think it’s actually a really cool name! But not one that is very usable
Definitely not usable!
I can only see ‘Hog’…a ‘no’ from me.
