[name]Just[/name] wondering what you berries think of this name. Not adding it to my list just yet but one of my daugters really likes it with the nn:[name]Indie[/name]/[name]Indi[/name]. Could you see a little girl pulling that off? Is it dated? What kind of girl/woman do you picture?
Haha, [name]Juliette[/name] is really not a fan of [name]India[/name], is she?? But [name]Lucinda[/name] nn [name]Indie[/name] is really adorable! I knew a cute 6-yr-old [name]Lucinda[/name] who always went by [name]Lucy[/name]. I remember thinking her name was even more charming when I found out it was short for [name]Lucinda[/name]. I don’t think the nn [name]Indie[/name] is too much of a stretch, and it’s so cute and fresh!
I could definitely see a little girl pulling it off. And [name]Indie[/name] is a nn that I can imagine working well past childhood. I would picture an adult [name]Lucinda[/name] as being very self-assured, yet soulful and caring.
Oddly enough, [name]Juliette[/name] seems to be coming around to [name]India[/name]. She said she “sorta” likes it now. It’s my 6yo, [name]Bella[/name], who out of the blue said she likes [name]Lucinda[/name]. Then I remembered our berry friend [name]Lemon[/name] mentioning [name]Indie[/name] as a potential nn for [name]Lucinda[/name] ([name]Belinda[/name] etc…)
I’ve never actually met anyone named [name]Lucinda[/name]. It sounds like a British-y name to me…which makes me like it a bit more.
A [name]Lucinda[/name] would have to be a [name]Lucy[/name], otherwise it would be [name]Cindy[/name]/Cinders. I think that [name]Indie[/name] is stretching it too far.
[name]Lucinda[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] would be a great sibset.
I always loved [name]Lucinda[/name] when I was younger. My DH however vetoed it very quickly when I was pregnant I think [name]Indie[/name] is a lovely nickname for it, It’s one of my favourite names and I never thought of getting it from [name]Lucinda[/name]. (I thought [name]India[/name] or [name]Indigo[/name] when I was pregnant but again DH vetoed) I think that [name]Lucinda[/name] works for all ages and although [name]Indie[/name] is cute it works into adulthood too
I think [name]Lucinda[/name] is sassy and distinguished, the perfect mix of old-lady cool and modern playfulness. I think [name]Indie[/name] is a great nickname, but if she doesn’t look like an [name]Indie[/name], you always have [name]Lucy[/name] to use - both are great!
