What do you berries think of the name [name]Sloane[/name] for a girl? Which spelling would you use [name]Sloane[/name] or [name]Sloan[/name]?
It’s alright. I prefer more feminine sounding names myself. I would go with the “[name]Sloane[/name]” spelling though.
I find it highly unattractive and very masculine. It sounds like the word slow with an N tacked on the end. it’s not feminine or pretty in the least and to add to that, it follows the awful “masculine surnames for girls” trend, which is going to look silly and dated in a few short years.
I know an 7 yr old and 4 yr old [name]Sloane[/name]. They are beautiful little girls and the name has grown on me.
I am not huge fan. Reminds me of schlong. Sorry
Not my style, too masculine. I don’t hate it though.
LOL holy cow, that is hilarious.
Reminds me of slow-anne.
I like it. I don’t love it, but it’s ok. I like the spelling [name]Sloane[/name] best.
All I can hear is the ‘slow’ part, which doesn’t make it a great name in my book!
Wow! I never noticed the “slow” part of [name]Sloane[/name]! Thanks all of you for pointing that out!
I love the name [name]Sloane[/name]! To me it’s classy and strong! I’d pair it with a feminine middle name…

[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Madeline[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Juliette[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Vivianna[/name]
I like momof374’s suggestion of pairing it with a feminine middle name- that’s exactly what sprang to mind when I read [name]Sloane[/name]. Or [name]Sloane[/name] could be a middle name to balance a long, feminine first name, too. The “slow” thing doesn’t bother me. I think the name hits a nice balance of being a name people know but don’t hear very often.
I don’t like [name]Sloane[/name] on girls at all, it actually brings to mind unsavoury things.
I don’t like it, not so much because its masculine (although it is distinctly unfeminine) as because its just unattractive to me. It doesn’t feel good in my mouth somehow.
I know a precious little girl named [name]Sloane[/name], so the name has grown on me. I wouldn’t use it, but I don’t hate it. It just doesn’t have a pretty sound.
A user on here a while ago had the combo [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Sloane[/name] which I adored. But outside of a combo (with [name]Sloane[/name] in the middle), I don’t think I like the name as much–boy or girl.
I absolutely [name]LOVE[/name] it and it would be my first choice for my twin girl coming soon, but my DH thinks it sounds far too masculine. I think it is strong and sexy (once you are older!) I have always loved the name and prefer it without the “E”.
[name]Sloan[/name] with no E! [name]Sloane[/name] is only Slow-[name]Anne[/name] to me!
i like it. sloane was ferris buellers girlfriend
