Does [name]Beau[/name] count as a name if it’s not a word the French recognize as a name? Same with Chase, BtN and wikipedia say this is an English name but I’m assuming because it stems from the word “chacier/chasser” it’s considered French on nameberry?

I agree, to me [name]Beau[/name] and [name]Chase[/name] aren’t French names at all (although [name]Beau[/name] is definitely French-inspired, and a name!).

[name]Auguste[/name] got my vote, but [name]Lucien[/name] would have been my second pick. Much as I love [name]Beau[/name], I couldn’t vote for it, since it’s just not a French “name” imo.
