After a long discussion and some reflection, we’ve decided to switch paths for our girls names and go more alongside the style my S/O likes, since it is a style I’ve considered previously, and it’s one I do still like. I’d rather choose a name we both like rather than one that I like and he tolerates, hence the switch.
His style is much more classics and British favourites, as I’d call them? The UK top 1000 is much more his style than the US top 1000, so I opted to look there for inspiration this go around, and have found quite a few ideas for us, but would love some help shortening up the list and/or deciding on a few favourites before presenting the list to S/O in its entirety because it is pretty long. Names already S/O approved will be in bold!
Also, please, no comments regarding the old lists vs. this list - I still quite like the old names and I am fully aware that they’re not to a lot of people’s tastes and that most people will prefer this style to that one
Some notes:
we live in Canada, so most of these are on trend or are ones not heard too often here. The only name that may have issue where we are is Aoife.
MN(s) will be June / Olivia June depending on what name is chosen, after my grandmother and after Olivia Newton-John, who I’ve always admired and who I was nearly named after (Olivia was my parents’ other final contender for me).
We prefer something either feminine and sweet with a modern twist or something currently on trend/trendy.
